The capability to have a hub for almost every app and even design a control for a better user-experience is nice to have, considering how 2020 turned more people using alternatives to cable tv. If you are thinking "yeah but I don't really need it now", trust me, you will later say "I should've bought it when I had the chance, before spending in a lower version". Give it a try and see it for yourself!

The internal storage capacity of the Chromecast with Google TV is 8gb, and while adding external storage or Secure Digital (SD) card to load content isn’t supported, there are more than 6,500 apps that you can use on Google TV. You can visit tv.google to view which apps are available and learn how to install the apps here: https://support.google.com/googletv/answer/10050570
If there are issues with performance of your Chromecast, we suggest clearing the app cache that might help as having a sizable amount of cache stored would affect its performance. See the steps below:
- From the Google TV home screen, in the top right, go to the user profile icon and select Settings.
- Select Apps and choose the app you're having trouble with.
- If you can't find it, select See all apps.
- Select Clear cache and then Ok.
- If clearing the app cache didn't work, you can try to reset your Chromecast with Google TV by following this step by step guide here: https://support.google.com/chromecast/answer/6254654

The interface is very fast and not choppy like the fire tv's, plus it seems to be compatible with all streaming software that I want to try. The only downside is the internal storage is only 4GB, so it goes pretty fast if you are looking to use a ton of apps. I also purchased the ethernet adapter to allow a hardwired connection. Streaming 4k and Wi-Fi is 100% reliable.
