We ended up replacing the older version of the cast to this one. Love it. Black older one works still, but takes a while to connect.

I find myself having to stop the casting, rebooting the bothe units and try casting again

I was disappointed that directv go/stream was not in the google plays store. Overall, no issues with this device. Later this year google updated the software and Directv Stream's app was updated. All is good now. A device that has been working perfectly for 1 year gets 5 stars.

We got this so we could stream HBO Max. I like that it gives me suggestions to watch on the Home Screen from all the different platforms we stream from. My kids & I also love looking thru pics since the Chrome-cast has the option to use pics from my Google account as a screensaver. We are very happy with this so far!

Way better than Fire TV especially for side loading any app you want ! If you want a beast of a streaming box this isn’t it , But it is the future of light content streaming I’m sure the next gen will bring everything upgraded faster bigger memory but for now this is it !
