As with other devices like Roku, you have to have your usernames and passwords and/or a laptop available to get the device to work with your Streaming media service. Also you may need your Google Home app on your phone. While it has a volume control, I haven't been able to configure it for my receiver

So glad I did. The lagginess of YouTubeTV is completely gone with the new Chromecast. Plus talking to the remote to find programs across multiple streaming channels is amazing.

It integrates very well with YTTV and, in fact, has better live guide than the native Youtube TV app guide. My only issue is that I use my Sony Bravia TV remote to control streaming devices like this (e.g. Roku, Shield TV, etc.) and it works with all of the controls for this EXCEPT that, while it turns the CCWGTV off, it will not turn it back on. Which means we have to keep that remote around just to turn it on.

First few weeks there was a major sync issue with audio and video on all channels, but they seem to have fixed that in a release. The remote is extremely light, and the position of the circular buttons at the top make it hard to use without it flipping in your hand as you pressed buttons, etc. Once you learn how to firmly hold it in your whole hand, you can overcome this issue. Overall a good product which can use some minor updates to make it a perfect product.

My complain is that I am not a fan that it obligates me to use the Google TV and that they eliminated the Ultra so this is my only 4k option, it only lets me chromecast from my Phone whenever it wants. Also, it doesnt let me generate power from the TV itself you have to connect to outlet others let you do that.
