Good if you are looking for picture and audio quality

First I didn't like Google TV. Sure it has a lot of things you can get to but I'm old enough to remember when you turned on a TV it just came on and started playing the most recent channel. I hated having to go through several clicks just to watch what I want. How about defaulting to the last thing watched? The design of the remote is really dumb. The thing is like a greased boiled egg. You made it a smooth oval shape so you have to look at it to see which end is pointed where. Give it a shape you can feel so you know what you're doing without looking at it. Also make it easier to hold onto and the buttons obvious by feel. Lastly, I bought several of these things for my house and since I didn't like it and switched to cable (the lesser of 2 evils), the devices appear to be useless. I tried to find out if you can use them without Google TV so I could still use them with my Google Nest. You know, verbal commands stuff. From asking Geek sqd, looking online and asking anyone in your store, nobody seems to know what to do with the devices if you don't have GTV. That's a costly mistake. For people who are disabled it would be great just to be able to use the smart features. Try thinking about people are are not 16 and would just like a practical device. It's too cutesie. I got rid of cable to get this for my home. Cable is too big for their britches and generally sucks as a monolopy. Your senior management people make way too much money to allow doing the minimum. How about trading in 5 percent of your millions to make your company one that people seek out instead of having only one choice? Make it far better. Greed was cool in the 80's. Now it makes CEO's look like money grubbing jerks. Let's get back to real value and service shall we?

Works very good. Wish the remote was bigger or a different design, slips out of my hand quite easily. Some times it locks up and needs to be unplugged and plugged back in to restart.

Great for turning old monitors into TV's or older 'dumb' TV's into a smart TV. The only complaint i have is the lack of updates/bug fixes from google. They finally updated it May 2022, but i still have WiFi issues with this having to reauthenticate on the network.

The item does what I needed. This device allows me to not only watch various streaming apps I can do it without my phone. I bought it mainly for the Bluetooth capabilities. I can watch TV with my Bluetooth headphones on without disturbing anyone else. It does have some buffering issues if your wi-fi signal isn't strong.

Works good, takes a little getting used to after using a Roku for awhile. Leave the name as Chromecast keeps assistant from getting confused. Livingroom TV seems to confuse it where Livingroom Chromecast works good. Found this out when trying to display a nest camera on the screen. Once I found that out it has worked great.

Best chromecast yet. Google TV is great. It is almost perfect. Three upgrades which are likely coming with a firmware upgrade or add-on: separate user accounts and Stadia support. Perhaps an auxiliary ethernet plug in. The price is amazing.

Bought this to cast to the TV. Works great for the most part. Once in a while there is a slow sync but I can't see downgrading the review for something that small. Worth the money.

Bought this specifically to be able to watch our kids play the oculus quest VR headset. We can now see what they see & allows everyone to be involved. Perfect!

The chromecast was easy to set up. It’s user friendly.

I decided to try this streaming device to compare it to the Amazon 4k firestick. This device works really well and using it over the firestick now. I highly recommend this product. By the way it operates off of the Android operating system.

This little stick is a wonderful controller for the TV and connections to Wifi apps. And it has many apps that we didn't have on our Sony BluRay player. My only complaint is that it is not very big.

Probably the best streaming device for the value. It’s hard to compare this to other devices for what it offers. For just a tad bit more features, you’ll need to spend much more on an Nvidia Shield compared to this.

As the advertising suggests, it helps extend the life of my old TV by giving me access to new features, especially streaming services. The great integration with Google services, such as You Tube video and music, is also a plus.

I have an older TV in my basement and my teenage son suggested getting this and it's help take our old tv to the next level!

This chromcast works perfectly with our Samsung tv we also just bought at Best Buy. Very friendly staff and helpful

The remote makes it so much easier for traveling and changing wifi. The regular chromecast takes basically resetting to change wifi. Great quality, great apps, works great with the oculus as well for casting.

Excellent product. I Installed a VPN on it, and now I watch netflix of many different countries.

Over the years, I have owned multiple streaming devices - from the Apple TV, to Shield TV, and I always found myself wanting more. The Chromecast with Google TV is the best blend of features, portability and price. Absolutely recommend.

It’s a solid device. Better than a firestick 4K max. I just don’t like that the device gets so hot. But it doesn’t seem to affect functionality.
