If you buy a cheap 4K tv, and spend an extra $50 to get this, its probably the best value entertainment you can get. The software here is crazy and so helpful.

I can't cast, which is why I bought, and the new version is all about selling you streaming material. Perhaps it is my school wifi, but there is no tutorial that so far can help me overcome the casting solution. I tried at home on our wifi, and I can't cast photos from Google photos. I understand the advancements, but miss the simplicity of the old Chromecast and believe this device is not a good casting device...but is a self-streaming device.

We recommend checking the kind of network being used at your school. Chromecast requires a high speed Internet connection of at least 20 Mbps, and doesn't really work well with captive portal networks and enterprise networks. It does so much more than Chromecast and does it very well. I only wish they offered it in a dark color like Charcoal.

The cube just wasn't stable. Lots of issues with the remote. Thus far the Google Chrome device has been excellent. Much better laid out then the Amazon. My only complaint is that I wish it came in Black.

But limited on apps ti be down loaded example no spectrum app or charter. Had to return due to that fact.
