Overall I'm pleased with it after swapping out my FireTV 4k for this, albeit with a couple of small gripes. It's slightly underpowered for the task and will likely show age fast. For the time being it does everything it should do, but it feels disposable. I mainly purchased this for the integration with Google systems, since I tossed out all my Amazon gadgets and swapped them for Google ones for the improved features. I bought two of these, one for a 4K TV and one for an HDTV. It works on the 1080p screen but there's no option for adjusting overscan so it cuts off the edges in some menus. I wouldn't recommend it for Android games since the app storage capacity is lacking, but I don't use it for that. It has enough room for all my media apps but if I did more than that I'd have to add an external drive. A bit annoying, but at least it's an option. I also wish it was available in black. Everything else about it has been vastly superior to the FireTV. Better integration, better app selection, and no annoying advertisements.

Dongle was always great, but addition of remote makes this perhaps the best streaming device available. User interface is GREAT and recommendations are good too. I've always been a Roku user, but this new streaming device has become my personal preference!

I bought this for my friend and my friend has been loving it ever since. This is probably the best smart TV device at this price point. Google TV is extremely easy to use and the variety of the apps available make this stand among the competition.

Hands down improvement from the original Chromecast of 2017. Cleaner interface, faster processed and connectivity make this a much better experience. Only gripe is that voice control still lags behind any of the Amazon products (no voice search or control in certain apps is a glaring omission). Another one that may seem obvious is no Apple TV+ support.

I was pleasantly surprised how polished this first generation of Chromecast with Google TV is. I supposed Google has used the manufacturers of Android TVs to refine the experience. Only a few issues you can overlook, like the main screen starting up a bit slow and then recommending things from services you don’t have. Overall very good though.

Replaced my aging Roku 4 and within a day the Roku was already unplugged and collecting. The interface is intuitive, the suggestions are helpful, and being able to control to TV with my Google Home products is a nice addition to impress friends and be generally lazy.

It is a great device I am enjoying it so much after I tried it I went back and I bought few more to give them as gifts.

The product is easy to use and comes with a nice remote.

This was an excellent update for my streaming use. Instead of having to use 2 remotes (one for the television and another for the streaming services), this Chromecast combines both functions into one easy-to-use device. Very pleased with this purchase.

Ended up purchasing two of them to replace my fire sticks and the household. Best decision I could have ever done. The UI could use a little improvement but overall the speed and stability of the unit far surpasses anything the fire stick or fire TV cube did for me.

Excellent upgrade to my tv's built-in app operating system. My tv's OS got very buggy when i switched ISP. It could not connect to my internet. No matter how many factory resets i would do to try and solve the problem it just kept dropping connection. The Chromcast is a great work around if you're experiencing this issue. The Chromcast connect with lightning speed. No lag and in 4k. I liked it so much I bought another for my 1080p livingroom tv. Looks great at 1080p too!

As streaming devices go, this product is as good as other similar devices. The main reason I bought it is to use with my YouTube TV subscription. It's the only one where the voice control works within YouTube TV. That is with other devices the voice control works on a global level, not within the YouTube TV programing specifically.

Very easy to use streaming device. I can hook up Youtube TV and other streaming apps with ease. I can't imagine using a different steaming device.

I like the upgrade to the remote control aspect. it has been easy to connect the phone to the tv. i had not tried the new one with my laptop. I had the old version which was connected. someone commented the new might not pick up from a laptop. if that is true that would definitely be a negative. overall i am very happy with it.

I just switched from a 1st gen fire tv cube and it has been great. The chromecast is much more reactive than my fire tv cube and is much lighter on advertisements on the home screen. Casting also works better (as expected)

I have several Rokus for the house but wanted to try this. I installed it on my main TV and I love it. I'm primarily a Google and Android guy and this makes it so easy to pick shows from YouTube TV or YouTube or Netflix etc. It's a better interface for me vs Roku.

Love this! Perfect for Chromecast enthusiasts. For anybody that doesn’t like to use their phone as a remote, this is what you need. Android TV is so much better than Roku it’s insane. There is literally no reason to pick Roku over this device. You won’t be sorry

Was considering buying a new smart TV because our current LG isn't receiving updates anymore and isn't compatible with many of the new streaming services. This was the perfect fix and I didn't have to buy a new TV. Really easy to use! Would purchase again!

We love how easy this is to use and that you can add apps as they are available (or discovered). We don't watch TV a lot, but there is definitely variety for streaming. We would definitely purchase again.

The fit, finish, and ease of use is amazing. It does seem to slow down a bit at time similar to my fire stick 4k. I do not have loads of apps on it only what came with it. It could have a longer chord since it is behind my flat screen tv and if I need to disconnect it for any reason it is a challenge.
