Setup was easy. It works as described. The placement of the volume control is oddly placed as the remote has a tendency to slip out of my hand.

Easy to set up. You can opt out of googled more invasive privacy attempts. Sorry, just want to watch TV you don’t need all that information.

This new version of Chromecast is a solid way to add streaming to any TV. The compact remote fits onto any table, and it can even turn your TV on and off with its CEC functionality.

This is a considerable improvement over the old Chromecast, and it works much more like a Roku or Fire Stick (your phone isn't needed).

Excellent device for streaming from laptop and any phone. It does not get stuck like other streaming devices. Remote is very sleek and easy to use.

Really impressed with the device speed and flexibility. Not impressed with Google hiding important parts. There is no Play store icon and really no way to add one. Therefore, you can't easily update apps. It is sort of Android for dummies. To get to the play store you have to ask the Assistant. It really is kind of a bare bones interface designed to be minimal. But the bottom line is it works but has no good native browser or way to side load apps easily which seems to be what they intended. Like all Android devices (I also have a Shield) it does have issues at times with Dolby Vision content from Disney+ and others. It struggles with frame rate matching and that seems to be pretty well documented.

If you liked any of the original chromecast then you'll love having the remote and the apps instead of having to cast something from a phone or computer.

Gtrat bang for you buck device. If you are looking for a solid streaming dongle, this is it. The performance on this new chromecast is very good plus it is optimized for a 5G wifi connection. It supports the latest updates for streaming apps like Hulu, Netflix, HBO Max and so on! Android TV OS (now Google TV) runs great and I love the UI integration for apps. The only downside I have is the storage is extremely low (4.4GB) but you can work around that with a usb-c hub adapter. Overall you'll love this way more than a firestick.

new to this streaming and cutting the cord. Love the ability to use on all my TV's and move throughout the house as needed. Simpe to set up and use.

Extremely easy to setup and functionality is good. I have updated it to Android 10 TV. I am looking forward to get android 12 update.

Love the ease of use. Although I would like for it to have remembered the last thing I watched so I can continue it directly from the first page. Instead, I have to go to the app and go from there. Other than that, awesome.

I own several android tv boxes and this one blows them out of water mainly because of the chromecast functionalities. Compared with Chromecast Ultra, this model is better other than ethernet connection. But you can buy a usb-c based hub that provides faster ethernet connection if you really need the wired connection. My only complaint is the Google should provide a version of Chrome suitable for TV boxes. You can side-load many apps. If I am tied to Apple ecosystem exclusively, I'd go with a Roku product, for others, this should be the product to have

The Google TV OS is great, and I enjoy making an older TV connect to my Google Home. The 4K streaming quality isn’t as good as other 4K devices such S the Apple TV, but this is a lot cheaper too.
