I really like this device. I have it installed on a Roku TV and would rather use this than the Roku channels. The watchlist feature is awesome and allows me to find things on Chrome, add it to the list, then watch it on whatever provider that is streaming it.

I like this Google TV. It is fast enough. The good thing about it is that it recommends movies and shows to me. The cast function works really well. I wanted to give it 5 star. But I wish that it had more ram (only 2.0 gb). Also, there is no ethernet connection. I have to depend entirely on Wi-Fi. Buying an adapter to connect to Ethernet costs another $20.00.

Love this for all my needs. Even has the twitch app that my previous device, not from google, didn't have. love the ability to control it with my phone and the chromecast ability.

Chromecast is my favorite streaming peripheral. Goes perfectly with YouTube tv.

This is a cool product. It connects to all the standard streaming services like a Roku or Fire Stick, but it also lets you cast your screen from your compatible device. Which means you can watch whatever you'd be watching online on your TV. Definitely a nice little toy.

I’m already bought into the google ecosytem so this was just another addition to that. Really like the layout and how all my apps are conveniently in a single location. Very happy that I’ve moved from a variety of different devices to a single brand.

Its good not great. its slow to open apps and to play a movie its even slower. the UI is nice and its nice to have almost every app available. hopefully apple tv app comes to it eventually. oh one more thing took me a long time to set up turns out it was my wifi out that day so not sure who to blame but it was a lot harder to set up than my Chromecast ultra

Better than the older version. This one has more funcutality. The one issue I found is that the remote is sensitive to the touch and can occasionally ruin a show if you keep it near and touch any buttons. Otherwise, happy with the upgrade

Better than Roku. The only downfall is that it doesn't have Xtream app but who really have cable in 2021. The remote has a glossy finished switch makes slippery on surfaces and sometimes while in hand. The solution was to buy a case on Amazon for under 10 bucks.

Works well with the TVs that we bought for our kids. I have a 3YO that can’t read so he doesn’t know what buttons to push to go to Netflix or Hulu or Disney. He just talks to his google assistant and chrome cast changes the show for him to whatever he wants to watch.

Free to use, and the same price as any of the other available products. I bought the Chromecast primarily because it is the only one that allows HBOmax in its entirety. Having all the services available through one remote is extremely helpful- minus one: Apple+.

This is probably hands down the best streamer out there. Excellent quality and the recommendations it provided are spot on. Also it consolidates all your various accounts to one view which is different and the unified view does save time and effort switching between.

First I didn't like Google TV. Sure it has a lot of things you can get to but I'm old enough to remember when you turned on a TV it just came on and started playing the most recent channel. I hated having to go through several clicks just to watch what I want. How about defaulting to the last thing watched? The design of the remote is really dumb. The thing is like a greased boiled egg. You made it a smooth oval shape so you have to look at it to see which end is pointed where. Give it a shape you can feel so you know what you're doing without looking at it. Also make it easier to hold onto and the buttons obvious by feel. Lastly, I bought several of these things for my house and since I didn't like it and switched to cable (the lesser of 2 evils), the devices appear to be useless. I tried to find out if you can use them without Google TV so I could still use them with my Google Nest. You know, verbal commands stuff. From asking Geek sqd, looking online and asking anyone in your store, nobody seems to know what to do with the devices if you don't have GTV. That's a costly mistake. For people who are disabled it would be great just to be able to use the smart features. Try thinking about people are are not 16 and would just like a practical device. It's too cutesie. I got rid of cable to get this for my home. Cable is too big for their britches and generally sucks as a monolopy. Your senior management people make way too much money to allow doing the minimum. How about trading in 5 percent of your millions to make your company one that people seek out instead of having only one choice? Make it far better. Greed was cool in the 80's. Now it makes CEO's look like money grubbing jerks. Let's get back to real value and service shall we?

Good device easy to use, just wish it supported more applications

Best chrome cast. Can control you actual tv as well. The set up is easy. IT is not like a chrome cast. It has a menu system and apps. It has USB-C and you can attach a USB-C hub to it and do a lot of cool things. Not based off of the OLD android TV.

I love buying on line and picking up curbside. Great price on great product. Chromecast with Google TV lets you combine everything into one, Youtube, Netflix, Local News Apps all quickly accessible. It also ties into home automation and lets you do verbal search.

Works great once you get through the set up process which was a bit challenging, involving keying in passwords for your various services using the remote. Our older Smart TV no longer accessed Netflix or other streaming services and this solved the problem.

First time purchasing and using a Google Chromecast. I've always used an Amazon Fire TV and I'm loving this device becausei can actually cast my Android phone screen to it! I will be getting more of these for other TV's in the house!

Bought this because Roku eliminated several streaming apps we watch that we could get on Chromecast Google TV. Video resolution is distinctly better on Google TV . Would like more options on screen layout.
