Not sure why, but the audio rarely syncs, and sometimes the videos stop playing even though the audio is still going like normal. Anyway for the price, it works well enough.

Great Addition to My Google Smart Home Goal

It connected easily with my Google hub. Giving it 4 stars due to a few misunderstandings with the voice control but, honestly, I have not used it enough as some downloaded streaming apps within are not compatible with the voice control.

This Chromecast makes everything much more simple because I can connect it directly to the projector via HDMI and to my sound bar via bluetooth.

I like that I can leave my Chromebook in my office when I use it to steam from web sites to watch in my living room. and all the streaming controls on the chrome-cast remote work fine.

Not sure why you have to use the USB brick that comes with it, why can't they all just get along

It works great and doesnt crash as often as a Chromecast but still has some stability issues when trying to switch between sources on my TV or if I turn my tv on/off with a different remote.

I don't particularly like the layout of the remote. I love/hate the white. It/apps crash occasionally, just like the competition, which is frustrating.

Resetting Chromecast with Google TV (4K) may be helpful with the occasional app crash that you're experiencing. Keep in mind that resetting it will erase all data and that you may need to set it up right after the reset process. To reset, follow the steps below:
With the Chromecast Voice Remote: In the upper right of your TV screen, select your profile and then Settings. > Select System and then About and then Factory Reset.
From the Chromecast device:
While the Chromecast is plugged into the TV and powered, press and hold the button on the back of the Chromecast. The LED should start to blink yellow. > When the LED light turns solid white, release the button, and the Chromecast should then reset.

The remote is fine. It does what it’s supposed to do. Buttons are responsive and works great. If the remote isn’t your thing, just use your phone.

My only complaint is the remote, it is smaller and feels less substantial than my Roku remotes. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

I have older tvs that are adequate in size but don't have high end features. This was a low cost way to upgrade the TV without spending hundreds. I'm very happy with the purchase.
