Works great if you are an apple guy then Apple TV is for you if you. are a google or android person this is for you. Haven't had any glitches or problems with it at all. Love it!!!!

So awesome not having to login to Netflix, Prime, YouTube TV, and Disney+ without using the native apps on the hotel TV and possibly having my login information stored.

I purchased because Roku was stopping the Youtube TV support. The screen casting is nice when using your phone or computer.

Also, I expect apps to have longer update support on this than I do with "smart tv" built in apps. My tv isn't terribly old at all and many apps don't get updates anymore.

It’s a clumsy work around that is so lame & only necessary because Spectrum apparently has licensing disagreements with ROKU & other s Treating aps services that previously worked perfectly. These greedy companies with their proprietary devices are doomed to fail in the end, but in the meantime, I have to jump through all of these nonsensical hoops just to watch a baseball game. The Chromecast works most of the time, but sometimes doesn’t recognize the device that it is casting to, thus requiring a reboot of the various systems, thus resulting in missing live TV events & leading to disappointment, sadness & borderline melancholy. Life is certainly not perfect right now.

Unfortunately, Spectrum Cable/TV app is not included on the list of cast-enabled apps. However, If you're using an Android device, you can mirror your phone screen to the Chromecast to watch content from the Spectrum TV app.

Casting may disconnect or randomly stop due to unstable Wi-Fi connection or a data congestion on your network. If you’re willing, you can try the simple steps below that might improve your experience:
- Check for possible sources of interference such as microwave ovens, refrigerator or other equipment. Try placing Chromecast in a straight line of sight from your router.
- If you have a dual band router, try setting up Chromecast on either the 2.4GHz or 5GHz bands and see which band is more stable.
- Weak or congested networks. Removing some of your connected devices may help relieve congestion. If you verify congestion, we suggest contacting your service provider for resolution.
- Check if your Chromecast and their phone or tablet are connected to the same network.
- Try to use a different device (phone or tablet) to check if the same issue occurs.

Has just about any streaming service you could want and easily searches all of them with the Google Assistant. But there are some issues, and when I say issues I mean bugs. Because Google TV is a new product many developers have not resolved small quality of life bugs. There are several examples of this, Amazon Prime has a bug that causes audio latency, Disney+ does not recognize my Atmos speakers, and many other apps have failed to recognize my displays resolution and HDR capabilities. None of these issues are Google’s fault, but they significantly detract from the overall experience. Ultimately the Google TV will be a great product, but right now there is a steep early adopters fee for those who have higher end tv and sound.

4K chromecast

I will say the 4K quality is impeccable!

I wish I bought a darker color since it is sometimes hard to find the white remote on type of an off-white bed comforter.

It connects directly to the internet, so you don't have to cast from your phone or tablet all the time.

It makes casting to your TV very simple. I'm not crazy about the form factor of the controller which is too slippery, but definitely not a show stopper.
