A much needed upgrade. More Android TV than Chromecast. You can install your own apps like Kodi. As far as Android TV devices go, it's second only to the Shield line from Nvidia.

This was great on our RV trip, we had wifi but not cable. We casted our home tv to our rv tv and watched our recordings. I highly recommend.

The colors are off on this thing, we have normal colors on the old chrome cast and the Amazon fire TV, I hope this is a simple software issue that will be fixed with another update, otherwise I’ll be returning it, the remote works well, the suggestions are a little off but luckily there is a dedicated YouTube and Netflix buttons, if they add an Amazon prime dedicated button that would be perfect.

I have always loved the Roku but the fact that the Chromecast can now search so effortlessly across apps makes it the new king for me. Yes Roku can kind of do this but not nearly as well.

A very complete media hub, almost any app you can get on the Play Store you can get it through here. And wirh the soon addition of Apple+ this is a must have for any TV in your house.

Great streaming device, I like that it supports dolby vision too. 4k in some apps is not supported even it supports it, probably the software. Give it time since it was just released.

Makes using streaming apps much easier, installing was super easy. We have several other Google home products, so the Chromecast integrates seamlessly.

I love that I can connect my headset so others in the house do not hear what I am listening too. It looks good and holds all my streaming services, Hulu, Netflix and Amazon Prime.

Super user friendly with nice quality, I mostly use it for casting my vr and it works perfect!

Has worked well for the past 10 months. The OS can get a little laggy at times, and so can the apps. However, this easily has the best variety of apps to choose from, and being able to cast from your mobile devices makes it great!

Works great, but the device turns off automatically at random times. There does not seem to be a fix for that, or a setting that I could find.

Really enjoy this item. I thought it would have the same applications available as Android TV. Unfortunately, it doesn't. But the apps are good and the OS is quick and responsive.

I had Amazon's Fire Stick before and THIS is far superior

Anyone looking for an alternative to the firestick, this is Great competition for the firestick! Especially if you have a lot of “hey google” devices

Yeah it’s pretty good it’s just that fubo tv specifically never loads so then I need o delete it and then redownload and have to sign in again to watch every single time

Works perfectly. I use this with a vpn and have no issues whatsoever. I'm completely satisfied with my purchase and will definitely recommend to others.

Unbelievably buggy. My Roku 3, which is probably 3 years old at this point runs much more smoothly compared to this. The only reason I got this device was because I can watch in 4k and cast from my browser but wow I'm regretting this. For instance: I've been spending the last 5 minutes trying to open up Hulu but an error keeps coming up. However, when I open a movie on the Google TV interface that is available on Hulu, it opens up Hulu. So I try to find out whether or not this is my internet by going back to the home screen and try to open Hulu up directly again but the error pops up or spends a minute on the Hulu logo screen. Sometimes with Google's new devices, I speculate they release these things without checking for bugs because sadly, this has also happened when I bought the very first chrome cast.

Works great, I love that I'm able to pair my bluetooth speaker now. My room tv doesn't really have a good speaker and I'd find myself struggling to hear some dialog but not anymore.
