You can do that with this one, but it doesn't always work right. The remote setup makes it easy to hit buttons on accident.

Posted .Hey there, KevinV. Good news! You can use your phone as a virtual remote with the Chromecast with Google TV (4k). To set up your virtual remote, follow these steps:
From the Google Home App:
1. Power on your TV and connected device.
2. Open the Google Home app on your phone.
3. Tap your device to access controls: On Android: The virtual remote turns on/off automatically. On iOS: Tap Open Remote to activate the virtual remote.

It was the same functionality and I lower speed but does have more universal applications, and you can jailbreak it.

The only issue I have with it (which may be an issue with the internet and not the device) is that casting the occulus to this device, there is a good bit of lag

Posted .Hi Jono, thanks for letting us know that you’re having an issue with your Chromecast with Google TV when casting from Oculus. It’s unfortunate to learn that you ran into this issue. Oculus is not officially compatible with Chromecast devices. It may or may not work. With that being said, while using an Oculus device on a compatible Android phone, you may be able to mirror the phone's display to show at the same time on your Chromecast.
