I love the Chromecast Ultra and thought this would be even better but no - it doesn't support Stadia. For now anyway. Then, doesn't allow me to change DNS. Doesn't allow me to use VPN settings - the DNS settings are hard coded. Useless.

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unfortunately, after contacting customer service at google, I found out that this is made to ONLY connect directly to a TV and not through an a/v receiver. What happens when I connect to a pioneer or Onkyo receiver (with 4k) is that the tv does not receive the signal and there is no sound. It's almost like it doesn't have enough power to tell the stereo it is there. I can get it to work by changing HDMI input several time (going back to the ccgtv everyother time), or powering on and off several time. Please note that the inputs on have tried all work with everything else including cc1, cc1, cc ultra, xbox one (1st and 2nd gen), ps4, 4k blue ray, etc. This is my 2nd ccgtv and the other one did the same thing. It is VERY cool when it works.

A huge disappointed for a Google product. I would highly recommend a streaming device with Android TV. I have a Sony with Android TV and it works very well.

Thanks for letting us know of the issue with your Chromecast with Google TV. We do apologize for the disappointing experience you've had with it.
We recommend trying out the troubleshooting steps below to try and see if the issue will be resolved:
- Remove other connected devices on your Wi-Fi network and see if you will still encounter the same issue. Should you verify congestion, then we recommend contacting your Internet service provider for resolution.
- We recommend a Wi-Fi network with 25 Mbps download speed that can ensure smooth 4K experience.
- If it does not work, you may try restarting your Chromecast by going to Settings > System > Restart.
- If it's still unresolved, perform a factory reset on the Chromecast with Google TV.
With the Chromecast Voice Remote:
1. In the upper right of your TV screen, select your profile and then Settings .
2. Select System and then About and then Factory Reset.
From the Chromecast device:
1. While the Chromecast is plugged into the TV and powered, press and hold the button on the back of the Chromecast. The LED will start blinking yellow.
2. When the LED light turns solid white, release the button and the Chromecast will then reset.

The UI is okay, it lags at times and the remote works but the deign is not great. The center wheel sometimes does other functions especially if after you press the center option to select/go it sometimes go right/left instead.

Wifi connection issues

I say dumbed down because there's no actual app store. Even the cheap no name android TV boxes are better than this as they at least have expandable storage. This piece of work has a whopping 4GB of storage! lol I keep getting storage full alerts. I created kids accounts and it won't let me enable YouTube for them despite the age (only allows the ultra limited YouTube kids with like half a dozen channels and limited ability to search). Needless to say this thing is horrible. Went back to Fire TV.
