    Likely a good product but does NOT work in a hotel. I travel on business and could not use on hotel wifi nor my mobile hot spot.

While most home Wi-Fi networks are compatible with Google Nest products including Chromecasts, there’s a short list of network types that we don’t recommend using with Nest products. Avoid connecting to the following networks if you can. These networks may cause issues, or might not even work with your Google and Nest products at all:
      - Mobile hotspots
      - Guest network, open networks, or isolated networks
      - DSL internet service with less than 2Mbps bandwidth
      - Captive portal networks
      - Enterprise 802.1x/RADIUS networks

    Don't buy if your wanting to watch 4k or ultra HD.

    Let's just start out saying this is a 4k device that should be able to display 4k on your 4k television. And it will frame by frame! If you like choppy playback this is for you! The only thing I did enjoy was the menu. Personally I switched to the built in Samsung app and no issues with displaying 4k content.

    Works but does not have xfinity stream app

    Works I guess as advertise. Had to return because App Store does not give you access to Xfinity Stream app and you can only use the app from your phone or tablet streamed to the chrome cast

    Broken after 3 months- Google sending only refurb

    Purchased in May of 2021. It worked wonderfully, we loved it. However, it completely DIED after just 3 months. Nothing happened that would explain it, no changes were made, and it was plugged into a surge protector. Just found one morning it would not longer power on, couldn't reset, couldn't do anything at all. Google is shipping a replacement out but it is a REFURBISHED device. Not acceptable at all. But now much choice in the matter. Will also require sending broken device back within specific amount of days or will be charged.

    Pretty solid low cost android streaming box

    A good cheaper alternative if you were looking at getting the nvidia shield tv but didn't want to spend 150 bucks. It works pretty good with everything I tried. It does dolby vision, it works on my Vizio P series. Youtube works pretty well. Nice remote, but wish it had more buttons, like a dedicated play, stop keys, and wish the volume buttons were on the face and not off on the right side. But otherwise great device, good build quality.

    Though it should be a simple "Plug and Play" like the older versions of Chromecast that we loved, it isn't. Keep in mind when purchasing this product, if you or an installer includes a recessed wall mount to hide your TV and sound bar cables, you'll need an adapter not included with this product; and not sold by Best Buy. You'll spend time running around trying to find this special adapter. Without the special adapter, this product becomes useless. In the end, we returned "Chromecast with Google TV 4K."

    Remote is too sensitive

    Lightly bumping remote causes TV to switch to the google TV. Possibly a defect with my remote. Mostly use Roku.

    One massive flaw

    I like nearly everything about the device except for one major flaw, stutter. The device can not adjust to match the source framerate and only outputs at 60 hz. The result, even if playing on a 120 hz screen, is that 24,25, and 50 hz content all stutters horribly. It makes most content unwatchable for me as the motion slides by, jerks backwards, then kicks back forward several times every second with one large stutter at the end of every second. Google won't reply to the issue and there is currently no fix for it. This ruins an otherwise very good product.

To get the best experience with Chromecast with Google TV, you would typically need at least a 20 Mbps broadband connection and it's most likely that the video stuttering issue could be related to a congestion in your Wi-Fi network. To check if your bandwidth is enough, try removing some of your connected devices and check if you can watch videos without experiencing the stuttering issues you reported to us. If the stuttering stops, then you may need to contact your Internet service provider to check your connection and upgrade it if needed.

    The Chromecast is great, has some good features. The one feature I bought it for is... not so good. I have wireless security cameras that work with Google Home. They're compatible to be viewed through the Chromecast, after setting it up, I can only view 1 camera at a time and every 2 seconds the Pause/Play toggle button would show up and darken the screen. It served me no purpose to keep the Chromecast since I already have Smart TVs, so ended up returning.

    Had to return the first one because it stopped working after 6 weeks. Remember to turn the power off when not watching TV because I think the device will fry if you leave it on all the time.

    Worked fine for about two weeks then remote stopped working. After I wasted two batteries, a search on the internet instructed how to reset it. It now works fine...so far.

    This is a cheap alternative for a apple tv , but sometimes lacks of speed idk if its a software issue but at the end of the day i prefer my apple tv , this is a good choice for cheap option
