    I use this to connect my Oculus so my kids can watch daddy play the Star Wars games. That is all. It DOESNT WORK WITH THE PELOTON BIKE!! Only Roku works.

    I prefer Roku but having access to the play store is nice. Multi account support is kinda poor, especially with a children's account.

      You can manage your accounts on your Google TV with the remote, so you can sign in to services with multiple accounts. From the Google TV home screen, in the top right, go to the user profile picture or initial and select Settings. Go to Accounts & Sign In. You can use other accounts on Google TV apps like YouTube, but recommendations on the Google TV home screen are based on the primary account's activity.     It honestly is pretty disappointing. Not Best Buy’s fault, the product is as advertised. Its capabilities are just super limited. I wish Google would expand the apps they offer so you could use this to do more things beyond just streaming.

    Worked great at first but started to slow down and lag quite a bit. My tv OS has a better processor. Was really hoping this would be amazing.

      See this step by step guide on how to do a factory data reset on your Chromecast with Google TV.

      With the Chromecast Voice Remote
      - In the upper right of your TV screen, select your profile and then Settings .
      -Select System and then About and then Factory Reset.

      From the Chromecast device
      - While the Chromecast is plugged into the TV and powered, press and hold the button on the back of the Chromecast.
      - The LED will start blinking yellow.
      - When the LED light turns solid white, release the button and the Chromecast will then reset.

    GoogleTV software/UI is annoying with too many ads/distractions. Remote is too small & slippery. Otherwise, product is fine.

    Good platform and nice interface, but serious audio lag when going through AV receiver. Maybe it can be fixed in a software update

      Hi KazPro, thanks for giving us time to share your feedback about the Chromecast with Google TV, and we’re sorry to learn of your issue with audio lag when going through your AV receiver.

      If you're having an issue using AVR in conjunction with Chromecast, you’ll need to first add your AVR so that you can use the Chromecast remote buttons for volume control, power, and input. Then, on the Google TV settings, toggle on the Match content dynamic range, under Display and Sound. Then adjust the sound format, by referring to the steps below:

      1.Select Advanced sound settings.
      2.Select Format selection.
      3.Then select between Automatic, Never, or Manual to choose formats from available formats. Under the various sound settings range, toggle the buttons to either on or off. For example, Dolby Atmos in Dolby Digital Plus, AAC, Dolby Digital.

    First of all, no instructions on setup. First thing you will notice, is is probably the worst remote control you will ever use. It is very slippery and the buttons are in awkward position, and when you try to use the buttons to input information, sometimes 2 letters are selected, and good luck trying to open for the batteries. Called Google when the installation failed. Hour on the phone with Google, who did not have any better luck. The next day I tried again, finally got a connection, but remote kept freezing. Reset to factory settings again. It setup gave me the home screen, When I tried to turn the Google TV on later, it would not turn on for twenty minutes. On the phone with support again, reset again. Suggested I use voice to turn on search, no luck, finally after another reset, I gave voice command ofr music, pandora came on and started playing music. Support said to tell chromecast to turn off music by saying stop. Music would not stop, support suggested open youtube. Opened youtube and music kept playing. Support said it may be remote, but to send a replacement support said I had to reset again. I just told then when they fix this item I may try again later. PS I was told this item won't work with AV receivers, which makes it more or less useless.

    Disconnects from the network frequently. Regular chromecast worked better for casting. Hope they fix it.

      - Move your router to within 20 feet of your Chromecast.
      - Check for possible interference as thick walls and other connected devices may weaken the Wi-Fi signal from your router to the Chromecast device.
      - Check for possible congestion with your Wi-Fi network.

    Just buy a fire stick instead. Some apps not supported but casting to tv works

    Stay away it keep search for wifi

    Very bad product it keep disconnect and find wifi. I got no problem for fire tv but this Google is the worse.

      For connectivity issues, it may be related to both the limited bandwidth caused by a congestion of your network or a possible interference. We recommend trying out the following:
      - Remove some of your connected devices to free up some bandwidth space and test if you will experience the same issue. Chromecast typically requires a high speed Internet connection of at least 20 Mbps. If you verify congestion, we suggest contacting your Internet service provider for resolution.
      - Check for possible signal interference. Placing Chomecast in a direct line of sight to your router and away from other possible sources of interference like a refrigerator, microwave oven, etc. might improve signal reception.
