Returned it, wasn't as expected

But it didn't work good for me because its difficult to switch user profiles and if your spouse starts watching on your accounts. It will start recommended shows of no interest to you. I bought two of these and returned them.

Good streaming device but needs some work

After 6 months I retired the device because of problems and not being able to support all the apps I use. The remote is bad and needs to be reworked and certain app worked others were spoty! The future could be good for this service but time will tell! Right now they have lost mt attention.

Okay not perfect. Need good WiFi.

Finally I got tired of dealing with it and took it back and switched to the Roku.

If you're willing to try, resetting Chromecast with Google TV (4K) may be helpful in fixing freezing and buggy issues. Here's how:
With the Chromecast Voice Remote:
- In the upper right of your TV screen, select your profile and then Settings .
- Select System and then About and then Factory Reset.
From the Chromecast device:
- While the Chromecast is plugged into the TV and powered, press and hold the button on the back of the Chromecast. The LED should start to blink yellow.
- When the LED light turns solid white, release the button, and the Chromecast should then reset.
We also recommend checking your connection for possible congestion by removing some connected devices, and checking if you will encounter the same issue. Once you verify congestion, contacting your Internet service provider will be a good step to see if they can check your connection and upgrade it if needed. Chromecast typically requires a high speed Internet connection of at least 20 Mbps, and we believe the issue may be related to a congestion in your network. Removing some of your connected devices may help free up some bandwidth space and you may check if you will get a better streaming performance with Chromecast. Once you verify the presence of congestion, we recommend contacting your Internet service provider for a possible upgrade of your bandwidth.

No complaints, great to replace cable

It doesn't lag and has all the streaming services I used, including fubo.tv. Loved the colored remote, but it's a bit small and easy to misplace. Still enjoying the product overall though.

Pretty good given the price

The remote is all plastic but hey at $40 you cant expect more. Sometimes Google TV is slow but Google has acknowledged this and hopefully software updates fix the sometimes slow performance.

Useless headache

I tried every guide online and factory reset did nothing. The only option left to try was buying a long Ethernet cable ($40) and running it across my house…..nah, I switched back to the Apple TV and upgraded to the new one and had ZERO issues. Saving that $40 and putting it towards the Apple TV without having to use an Ethernet….like this was just a giant headache and I’ll never recommend chromecast

Provides a Google TV experience. Not like my TV...

Same look and feel so that was a plus. I use YouTube TV. I have great internet and a good wifi router. This thing buffers regularly while using YouTube TV. My thought is there ins't the processing power that my TV has to run the app.

If you haven’t yet, we suggest clearing the app cache that might help as having a sizable amount of cache stored, would affect the performance of your Chromecast. See the steps below:
- From the Google TV home screen, in the top right, go to the user profile icon and select Settings.
- Select Apps and choose the app you're having trouble with.
- If you can't find it, select See all apps.
- Select Clear cache and then Ok.
- If clearing the app cache didn't work, you can try to reset your Chromecast with Google TV by following this step by step guide here: https://support.google.com/chromecast/answer/6254654

Great abs awful Remote

So I decided to try the chrome cast. Easy hook up great abs but the remote is way too small to try to use every time. So I had to return it and I got the Comcast flex which is the same thing but with a bigger remote.

Be patient when setting up

Very good not great

Built-in apps are good but the only reason for a four instead of a five are some awkwardness with the buttons. It cause a couple source changes that made me have to start programs over.
