    Buffering over my wifi network. Only device in the house that has issues. My service is 10up and a 100down. Retuning if there's not an update. Interface looks like a firestick, which I hated.

      While the firmware updates are being applied automatically, we suggest performing a power cycle on your Chromecast, and Wi-Fi router to refresh the connection:

      - Unplug Chromecast and router from their power source.
      - Leave them unplugged for one minute before plugging them back in.

      If you're still experiencing the issue after doing the steps above, perform a factory reset on your Chromecast, then re-setup.

      To reset:

      - While the Chromecast is plugged into the TV and powered, press and hold the button on the back of the device. The LED will start blinking orange.
      - When the LED light turns solid white, release the button and the Chromecast will then reset.

    It’s ok but audio issues are there

    It’s an easy product to get started with. However, I experience split second audio gaps while streaming content. I hv used Amazon Firestick and never had that issue

      Hi there ShashankB, thanks for trying out Chromecast with Google TV (4K). We apologize for any audio delays you are experiencing while streaming your favorite content. If you haven't tried yet, here are some recommended steps that may be helpful with the audio delay issue:
      - Try using Chromecast with Google TV on another TV to see if you can recreate the issue.
      - If the issue is persistent even after trying out another TV, try resetting Chromecast with Google TV (4K). Keep in mind that this will erase all data and that you may need to set it up again. To reset, follow the steps below:
      With the Chromecast Voice Remote: In the upper right of your TV screen, select your profile and then Settings. > Select System and then About and then Factory Reset.
      From the Chromecast device:
      While the Chromecast is plugged into the TV and powered, press and hold the button on the back of the Chromecast. The LED should start to blink yellow. > When the LED light turns solid white, release the button, and the Chromecast should then reset.

    Not what I was expecting, Very disappointed.

    I am having trouble casting from desktop to tv and from phone to tv. the old version worked great without issue. Other than using it for streaming services its ok. but for its namesake casting did not work for me.

      This can be caused by several factors and we recommend performing these steps, and see if these will improve your experience:
      - Weak or congested networks. Removing some of your connected devices may help relieve congestion.
      - Check for possible sources of interference such as microwave ovens, refrigerators or other equipment.
      - If you have a dual band router, try setting up Chromecast with Google TV on either the 2.4GHz or 5GHz bands and see which band is more stable.

    I love this now has a remote compared to older versions so that i dont have to use my phone to control.

    Only bought it because it was cheaper than buying the oculus link cable to be able to cast my oculus.

    Extremely user-unfriendly. Extremely difficult to set up and hook up to iPad and TV. No detailed user manual.

    I have the ideal wifi setup, Google's own mesh wifi, and the connection is still slow and disconnects! I have the chromecast in the same room as the router that is connected directly to the modem! So it's in the same room as the router with the strongest signal, and it still disconnects and buffers, pathetic. This is disgusting, I'm revolted by this quality, Google should be ashamed to call this their own. And i say "ideal setup" because it's google mesh with google Chromecast, all in the same ecosystem, maximum comparability and connectivity should be expected.

    Bloated with ads, poor remote, disappointing.

    Overall a truly average experience. The remote is too light and not backlit. The UX is bloated with ads (10x worse than any TV stick ive used). But it's cheap and has a chrome cast so I guess it gets 2 stars.

    Bang for the buck

    Great product and more functional to use than a normal Chromecast. Hopefully with future software updates, they will add more functionalities and ease of use like customizing home screen or switching between different accounts.

    Does NOT work with mesh routers

    Really wanted to Keep this but apparently it doesn’t work well with wifi mesh routers, like Orbi. Frustratingly the device intermittently loses connection without explanation. At first I thought it was my internet but then realized it was only this device that was having problems. I chatted with Google tech support who confirmed the device will continuously search for a network if only a mesh network is available. I can’t change my router settings to get this to work, and even worse Google won’t offer me a refund stating I need to return it to Best Buy who will only take it back within 14 days of purchase.

    I was was disappointed with this product. I use an Amazon Fire stick & Chromecast did not work with that, as I had hoped it would. Might be fine with cable or satellite programming, but I will be requesting a refund.

    Chromecast TV very easy to use

    The display settings on the Chromecast are much easier to adjust than on our TV. We get a full screen displayed now. The voice search is very easy to use.

    Not easy to use. Could not get it to work. May be too high tech for what I need. I do not have other devices wired like Alexa. Just wanted to watch smart tv channels like Hulu, Netflix, prime, etc.

    I liked the old Chromecast I have the apps on my phone already logged in much simpler to be able to find stuff then simply cast what I want to the Chromecast. If you have friends that come over they used to be able to just cast from their phone or device to TV. This forces you to download the app and login on the Chromecast. If I wanted that I'd use the ones built into my Samsung TV already.

    Poor quality remote

    I love my chromecast but the quality of the remote itself is absolute garbage. Half the buttons are no longer working. It lasted barely a year and google wants $20 for a replacement remote. I have zero faith that remote will last longer than a year either. Now I'm stuck without a remote. Thanks Google...
