Slow, and app not works

Another horrible device from Google !!!

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.From all streaming devices like Fire TV 4k, Roku , Tivo 4k .... , "Cromecast with Google TV" has the worst remote control that made from extremely cheap plastic, extremely uncomfortable to use with not enough buttons . If you like Google home UI just buy Tivo 4K and install it there . Tivo 4k has the best remote and great 4k streaming and enough buttons to remap the way you like it . Google is extremely bad company . Be smart don't buy Google product.

Posted ."Hi there, OlegS. We hear your concerns on losing Wi-Fi connection with the Chromecast with Google TV (4k). There could be a few things impacting the performance — here’s some suggestions to get you up and running again:
1. Check your Chromecast Wi-Fi network. At the top right of your TV screen, select your account icon and then Settings and then Network and Internet.
2. If your router supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, make sure that your Chromecast is on the 5 GHz network.
3. Update your router's firmware, if needed. Sometimes routers have bugs, and there are firmware fixes to address them. Make sure that your router is running the most updated software.
4. Restart your Chromecast. Unplug the power cable and then wait three seconds and then plug the power cable back in.
5. Restart your modem or router. Check the manufacturer for instructions.
6. To help prevent Wi-Fi or Bluetooth interference, move your Chromecast further away from your TV. Also, don't let it touch other devices, wires or cables.
7. Use an Ethernet adaptor to connect your Chromecast to your router. This will give you a direct, hardwire connection to the Internet and alleviate your home Wi-Fi network.

Disappointed

Although Prime Video is a partnered app, and is compatible with Chromecast with Google TV, it may still encounter some glitches similar to the one you're experiencing. We recommend performing a factory data reset on both Chromecast and Voice Remote to see if it may be helpful with the issue you reported. Here are the steps:
With the Chromecast Voice Remote:
- In the upper right of your TV screen, select your profile and then Settings .
- Select System and then About and then Factory Reset.
From the Chromecast device:
- While the Chromecast is plugged into the TV and powered, press and hold the button on the back of the Chromecast. The LED will start blinking yellow.
- When the LED light turns solid white, release the button and the Chromecast will then reset.

Performing a factory reset on your Chromecast device may be helpful in fixing the issue. Here's a step by step guide on how you can do it:
- While the Chromecast is plugged into the TV, hold down the button on the side.
- The LED will begin blinking orange.
- When the LED light turns white, release the button and the Chromecast will begin the reboot sequence.
We also suggest making sure your Chromecast is not further away than 15-20 feet from your router, your phone and Chromecast are on the same network, and your network isn't congested since connection may drop if there is not enough bandwidth on the network.

If you haven't returned your Chromecast yet, and want to troubleshoot the issue, you can try performing a power cycle on your Chromecast and Wi-Fi router to refresh the connection:
- Unplug Chromecast and router from their power source.
- Leave them unplugged for one minute before plugging them back in.
If you're still experiencing the issue after doing the steps above, perform a factory reset on your Chromecast with Google TV, then re-setup.
With the Chromecast Voice Remote:

Junk so many issues

Other issues include surround sound not being sent to TV/Soundbar (stereo all the time, yes surround turned on), no sound, picture is black, no picture or pixelated. In most cases I have to always reboot and reboot. This item is now sitting in my junk drawer.

Setup is Bananas Difficult
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is by far, and with no exaggeration, the most arduous and annoying setup process I’ve ever been through on any device I’ve ever owned, analog or digital. There’s just tons of issues with getting it to recognize the wireless network. I can’t even vouch for the features yet. Ultimately, I will most likely end up sending it back. The remote is also shaped funny so that it constantly drops out of your hand. Not sure whose idea that was.
