    nice but not easy to set up. bluetooth with the google speakers disconnected all the time . need to factore rest 3 times

      While you can connect different Bluetooth devices, like headphones or game controllers, to your Chromecast with Google TV, you can only connect one audio device at a time. If your bluetooth devices won’t connect, we suggest the following steps that might help:
      - Turn off the Bluetooth device and then turn it back on. After the reboot, try pairing again.
      - If you have other Bluetooth devices paired with your Chromecast with Google TV, try to disconnect them.
      - Try to pair another device, like a phone or tablet, to your Bluetooth device.

    Very hard to get this working and keep it working. Very finicky about WiFi signal. Better off getting a smart tv.

      The performance and connectivity of your Chromecast with Google TV can be affected by several reasons and we suggest trying the simple steps below:

      - Check for possible interference. Appliances like your microwave oven, refrigerator or even your neighbors Wi-Fi network may cause interference with your Chromecast.
      - Check for possible congestion. Removing some of your connected devices may help relieve some bandwidth space and you may check if your experience will improve. Once congestion is verified, contacting your provider for a possible upgrade of your connection will be your best option.
      - Ensure that your Chromecast is in a line of sight with your Wi-Fi router to get the best signal strength and Wi-Fi coverage.

    Remote keeps bricking

    when it works, it works well. The remote keeps bricking itself and I will be returning this item.

    Unwatchable, kicks us out of what we are watching

    We might have a defective product. But ours constantly pauses and kicks us out of what we are watching. Seems like it has serious potential, so will be exchanging in hopes that ours was faulty. Will update

    I took the product back one day after I purchased the product. The wi-fi connection to my tv and modem was inconsistent. It worked for about 10 minutes then it stopped working. I could not get live tv through mlbtv.com, and other channels, such as nba.com. I hope that they make upgrade with this product because it will be a waste for the google brand, since they are an outstanding tech company.

    Yet Another Streaming Device

    I bought this 4K Chromecast for compatibility. My main TV uses the Google operating system. I recently cancelled my cable subscription and switched to full streaming via YouTube TV. I already had four Amazon Firesticks, but my wife liked the Google set up on the main TV, so I added the Chromecast to the TV in her study room. Both devices do essentially the same thing, but happy wife, happy life. Setup was as simple as following the prompts. With all these streaming devices, wait until you can catch them on sale. My wife appreciates the additional channels she gets, but you could probably get many of the same ones on the Firestick with a little setup.

    Stopped connecting/working after 4-5 months

    Very slow piece of technology. Bought this in October 2020 and have had several network connection issues. Now, it has stopped connecting to all applications completely (YT TV, Hulu, Netflix, Prime Video). Now I have to contact Google directly to see if there's anything they can do. I have 2 Amazon fire tv sticks that are working just fine. May just end up buying another one of those instead.

    Clunky interface. The remote is really touchy. TVs with google built in are much more usher friendly

    My family didn't like this Chromecast device at all and returned it. We owned two older Chromecasts and really liked them. They worked well for a long time. However, after years they seemed to not perform as well, so we decided to upgrade. Well, it didn't feel like an upgrade. Sure the UI looked impressive at first glance, but the experience was poor. We went with Roku instead and have no regrets.

    App cannot load Viki and mentions incompstibility issues. Cannot stream Viki shows. So annoying. The buttons for nav are so flimsy you'll end up lost in the GUI. So disappointed. Google appears to fumble in their OS dev and does not appear to focus on TP apps that customers use. What is the point of this unusable device?

    Not even close GOOGLE!

    Huge google fan but this device is terrible. I hooked it up to an LG OLED and the quality was horrible. The remote had a lag and performance was slow. It could not control the audio from my Sonos sound system. Could only be set to 4k 30hz but was defaulted at 1080p. I was so excited to use this cause of the remote but it was horrible. Also, the picture quality was dull and pixelated. Just not worth the money.

      If you have other Bluetooth devices connected to your Chromecast, then we recommend removing them to see if you still experience a lag using the Voice Remote. You may also need to manually model your Sonos sound system with the Chromecast device to have it working with the Voice Remote.

      Chromecast with Google TV supports resolutions of up to 4K videos at 60FPS (Frames Per Second). It's most likely the limited resolution may be caused by your Internet bandwidth which may either be congested or not enough. We recommend a high-speed internet connection (at least 20 Mbps) to get the best experience watching your favorite shows on 4K resolution.     Google TV user interface is nice however it keeps freezing up. Not cool. Hopefully an update can fix this issue.

      We recommend checking to see if the issue may be related to a bandwidth congestion on your network. Simultaneous use of most of your connected devices can usually force your network to divide your current bandwidth and slow down both your upload and download speeds. Chromecast typically requires a high speed broadband Internet connection of at least 20 Mbps for the best experience. Contacting your Internet service provider will be the best course of action since you may need to upgrade your connection.

      Freezing issues may also be related to software bug issues, and performing a factory data reset on Chromecast may be helpful. If you´re willing to try, you may reset Chromecast and Voice Remote by following the steps here: https://support.google.com/chromecast/answer/6254654
