    When it works its good but it constantly drops the internet vs the devices beside it that have a strong connection.

      Performing a factory reset on your Chromecast device may be helpful in fixing the issue. Here's a step by step guide on how you can do it:
      - While the Chromecast is plugged into the TV, hold down the button on the side.
      - The LED will begin blinking orange.
      - When the LED light turns white, release the button and the Chromecast will begin the reboot sequence.

      We also suggest making sure your Chromecast is not further away than 15-20 feet from your router, your phone and Chromecast are on the same network, and your network isn't congested since connection may drop if there is not enough bandwidth on the network.

    Does not work well with 8k. It locks or or cuts out if using for casting(screen mirror).

    My ROKU had crapped out and there was SO much hype about this chromecast that I'd get one. It proved VERY difficult to set up, not like the old fashioned chromecast (with out remote) and imposables to load with my favorite stations. One is stuck with the streaming channels they want you to subscribe to. I sent it back for a refund and replaced my comfy ROKU , much easier to operate.

    The remote is cumbersome to use. Surprised it does not give option for wireless RCA headphone. Needed to purchase a BT headphone and every time you want to switch from wireless to TV speakers, you need to go through the setting. Also, when watching streaming services (i.e. Hulu etc), voice and video often are out of synch and many times image freezes (no, it's not my wi-fi).

    Constantly doesnt connect and auto disconnects

    Doesnt connect half the time, just stays on the home page. Then when it does connect from my phone, it just shuts off and goes to the home page after like 20 mins or so. So disappointed having had their old chromecast. Bought new 4k tvs and their older model is great, so i thought this would be just as good or better. Its not.

    Works great -- when it's not hard failing

    when it works it's great -- I have 5 of them now. One of them had to be factory reset 5 times to get it to setup -- very frustrating. Another the remote toggle just stopped working after about 10 days of use. More resets, hard resets, etc, google tech chats -- waste of time. Waiting on a replacement from google for it. Quality is definitely lacking.

      - Weak or congested networks. Removing some of your connected devices may help relieve congestion.

      - If you have a dual band router, try setting up Chromecast with Google TV on either the 2.4GHz or 5GHz bands and see which band is more stable.

    The device appears to have trouble streaming live NBA basketball games through the NBA App. I'll often have my computer further away from the internet modem than the Chromecast, and my computer will stream fine, but the Chromecast struggles to stream too often.

    This is not useful for the current users and only tne new users can avail this offer. Hope they will change the policy. Also the subscription is way too expensive for the content

      Here's how:

      - Turn on your Chromecast and then at the top right of your TV screen, select your profile and then Settings .
      - Select Display and Sound.

      You’ll also have the option to adjust the following display settings, depending on the features available on your TV:

      - Match content: Use this setting to allow your Chromecast to match the dynamic range to the source content that you’re viewing.
      - Allow game mode: Game mode reduces latency and allows a faster game response time. To adjust game mode, select Advanced display settings.
      - Resolution and frame rate: Use this setting to adjust the screen resolution and frame rate. To adjust resolution, select Advanced display settings.

    I did not like the interface. It was hard to set up and hard to navigate. The remote is not easy to use either because it only has a limited number of buttons. I would rather use the apps that are already preinstalled on my TV than use the Chromecast.
