    Worked great for a week, then kept saying it had no internet connection, when all other WIFI devices were working fine. Checked online and the problem is common. Unfortunately, tossed the box, to stuck with it. It's in a drawer until Google fixes the problem. Back to Roku.

    Worst chomecast, limits using app use from your phone. Can't resume casting with out the remote

    Main problem is that the surround sound doesn't work half the time. Just get an Apple TV 4K.

      We recommend checking if your set up for Chromecast with Google TV has the following items to get the best video and audio experience:
      - Ensure that your display or TV monitor has an HDMI port that supports both HDCP 2.2 and 60 frames per second (60 FPS). If you're using an AVR or soundbar, those will also need to support HDCP 2.2.
      - A high-speed internet connection of at least 20 Mbps.
      - A high speed HDMI cable. Recommended length: Less than 6 ft. (1.8m).
      - Use only the power supply that was provided with your Chromecast with Google TV.

    to many bug in it. 1) pink screen - while watching videos all of sudden screen turns pink. 2)amazon prime video app - it keep saying to check hdmi connection for playing video but the ads play perfectly before the movie starts. 3)Netflix - it say the video is not available now try another video. list goes no . ...................

This is not the user experience we want you to have and we're here to help. We recommend some steps that might help improve the screen discoloration and casting issue that you have:

      - Try unplugging, then re-plugging the Chromecast into the HDMI port, making sure the connector is plugged all the way in.
      - Try plugging the Chromecast into other HDMI ports on your TV.
      - If you have a dual band router, try setting up your Chromecast with Google TV. on either the 2.4GHz or 5GHz bands and see which band is more stable.
      - Check for possible congestion with your Wi-Fi network.

    Extremely disappointed with this product!!! The constant buffering makes it impossible to watch anything. Now, I'm getting an error message that I need to do a factoy reset and can't perform that because it is completely dead. Save your money, not worth what it costs!!!!

    Remote stopped working after 2-3 week of use.

    Used it for two-three weeks and the remote gave up. It was hard to really use the remote after that. Maybe I just was unlucky. My prior Chromecast TV lasted for years.

    Less than a month after my purchase the remote stopped working rendering my chromecast essentially useless. Up until then, I had enjoyed it's function. Pretty bummed out considering I have several other google accessories.

      We suggest the following steps that might improve the connectivity of your Chromecast with Google TV:
      - If you have a dual band router, try setting up your Chromecast on either the 2.4GHz or 5GHz bands and see which band is more stable.
      - Check for possible congestion with your Wi-Fi network. Removing some of your connected devices may relieve network congestion.
      - Check for possible interference as thick walls and other devices in your home may weaken Wi-Fi signals.
      - Bring your Chromecast closer to your router to get better signal reception from your router.
      - Restart your Chromecast and your Wi-Fi router. Unplugged the devices from the power outlet. Leave them unplugged for at least a minute before plugging them back in.

      We also suggest clearing the app cache that might help as having a sizable amount of cache stored, would affect its performance. See the steps below:
      - From the Google TV home screen, in the top right, go to the user profile icon and select Settings.
      - Select Apps and choose the app you're having trouble with.
      - If you can't find it, select See all apps.
      - Select Clear cache and then Ok.

      If you haven’t yet, we recommend doing the following:
      Reboot the Chromecast device:
      - Unplug the Chromecast device from the power source.
      - Leave it unplugged for one minute and then plug it back in.

      Reboot the router:
      - Unplug the router from the power outlet and leave it for at least 2 minutes.
      - If there is a battery pack, remove that as well and make sure no light is turned on.
      - After 2 minutes, plug it back in and wait for it to completely reboot.

      This behavior is common for network congestion issues (router) and sometimes a device glitch (Chromecast) which normally occurs for most electronic devices.

    Piece of junk. Remote died after 2 months. Tried to get a replacement from Google. 3 hours wasted on a $50 device. When it worked it was pretty cool. Google assistant is nothing short of amazing, integrates well into google apps. But google just doesn’t make as good hardware it seems.

    Must Reboot Everytime

    I have two of these and one of them stops responding while the TV is off and then will not turn on when theTV is turned on. I have to unplug it so it reboots. Would not recommend

    I bought two of these…one works fine and one keeps glitching. Needed to be re-paired. Now it loses connectivity on the regular (not a modem issue). Best Buy products working as expected 50% of the time = par for the course for Best Buy!!
