Beyond impressed with the Chromecast w/GoogleTV. We have been using a Nvidia Shield and it was doing fine, but it was overkill for what we were using it for. We decided to give this unit a try and the family has been blown away. Easy to setup, once there, easy to use and can control all the items I need it to. Also bought the Ethernet adapter for a more secure connection. I have been recommending this to everyone and anyone that is ready to "cut the cord"! Absolutely love!!!!

Upgraded to this new chromecast with some doubt. It turned out to be the best experience. I have chromecast->soundbar->projector->122 inch config. This new chromecast's remote can control both project and soundbar. No longer need to have multiple remotes. Setup is super simple.

ok, I just replaced my 2 Roku sticks with these and all I can say is that this is what the Streaming experience on a TV should have been like all along. While there is something to be said for the simplicity of just seeing your apps like on Roku, once you start watching too many things on too many services it becomes too difficult to keep track of. Also, if you have YoutubeTV for your live TV then this is a must. It actually puts the live guide and any new shows in your DVR on display!! Plus it has continue watching from your different apps and a watchlist that you can add anything to. The interface is also super fast. The voice control is also excellent, and not just for searches. You can actually say "play the rams game" and it will open whatever app you have and start playing without you having to search for it and then start it. Also, any command that you can speak into the remote you can also use a google smart speaker to do so if you're busy in the kitchen and you don't have the remote you can still switch shows, pause, rewind, raise the volume, etc. without the remote. I have it plugged into my Yamaha Receiver and it seamlessly connected and turns everything on and off. OK, here's my only complaint. I'm not a huge fan of the volume buttons being on the side of the remote but I can live with it if they are larger and easy to feel like on the Roku remotes. These buttons are totally flush which makes them look good but they are hard to feel and difficult to make quick adjustments with. I wish Google had made the remote just a little larger and put a volume rocker or up and down buttons on top.

My four year old great nephew likes to watch tv in bed. He enjoys streaming his favorite shows from his iPad, but the tv is not a Smart tv. This Chromecast with Google is exactly what we needed. It was easy to install, has a voice controlled remote, and was on sale. And..a four year old has already learned how to use it.

I was surprised to see that the 4k Roku device I bought produced an inferior picture with poor color quality. Google's Chromecast 4K, however, produced an excellent picture with great color. It also has a robust set of menu features, noticeable Dolby Vision picture capabilities, (TV must be have Dolby Vision functionality), and all the benefits of Google. It's wifi anenna is strong and picked up a weaker signal easily when my Sony X series Google TV couldnt. Google Chromecast is a must have for LG, and Samsung, tvs and works well as a backup for Sony TVs when they cant grab your wifi signal. Get this device!

Simple - easy to use and set up. Log into all your accounts and the remote acts as a universal remote (if you have hdmi control set up) Super light and thin so sits easily behind OLED wall mounted tv.

This is the best option I never had, I was client and devoted follower of the old Amazon Fire stick per years, wherever I updated with any new models wherever cost expensive they rule, but not only that, per years I change from one provider to the next one because I can never have access to all streaming apps. When finally I take the decision to switch to the Chromecast device. Now the use of my time return to me and not for the obsolete Fire stick, and after almost a decade of shopping to the Amazon people, the first time I called to customer service to report the problem, someone in India answer to me, help me nothing and when requested a Supervisor, she, American English speaker hang up for me after almost one hour in the phone. Thanks Google to return the pleasure to watch TV.

Works great with my internet provider. No issues streaming any of the services and remote is easy to use.

Great product. Easy install, fast device, great display/layout. Connects easily to my other devices. Also, Marc, the employee at the Levittown, PA location who helped me find a streaming device was extremely well informed on all streaming devices and asked me what I wanted out of my device to guide me to Chromecast, and then more specifically this version of Chromecast.

I have several other streamers, but this may be the best. It is easy to set up, and responds almost instantly to inputs. App selection is easy, and the selection is huge. It supports all HD formats, including Dolby Vision, which is unusual. I was concerned about the possibility of dongle damage to the HDMI connection, but it is so lightweight that it puts very little pressure on it. I know of nothing else, regardless of price, that performs as well. The remote is featherweight, and the buttons need only gentle pressure. One awkward bit: getting the battery cover off of the remote is difficult. Kudos to Best Buy. The price was better than any eBay source, and delivery was very quick: I ordered it on Wednesday afternoon and got it on Thursday morning.

Lets keep this short. Pros : great price, GoogleTV (UI) is awesome, Google assistant is the very best on any streaming device. remote with IR and HDMI-CEC is great. lots on options in the settings. Cons : There are lots of empty spaces in certain menus like the search, its going to be exhausting on your hand and sanity scrolling through everything, especially if you have more then 2 or 3 services connected. You could always use the voice search but some people like to visually see things(like me) instead of plucking their brain for the answer. The UI is a bit slower then I expected, I came from a Roku stick+. Only 1 account can be made(right now). This chromecast is great don't get me wrong especially for its price and what it offers but if Google came out with another one that had better hardware that was faster and had more memory and a better remote I would buy that for more money. But its priced just right for just the right amount of features. I'm hoping the software gets updated soon to make it a more enjoyable experience.

Absolutely loved the product. Pretty slick and rich experience with every app now available. Voice is experience is simply amazing. This is product by far is way superior than Roku, Amazon FireTV.

Have had for about a month and still discovering what I can do. As usual the folks at Google have revolutionized something, and in this case that something is watching TV. Purchased this for 2 reasons - I was tired of going in and out of separate apps to stream, and I was tired of having to cast my apps via a separate device. Being able to have the apps built in and on the home screen, being able to search ACROSS apps, AND still being able to cast if necessary has blown my mind! Now when I turn on any of my other TVs that do not have Google TV my initial response is what happened to my home screen. And to boot, the Netflix incentive paid for the device. If you haven't purchased one yet, what are you waiting for?! Well worth it!

This steaming device is almost perfect. The software is easy to use and well laid out, the hardware seems quick enough to keep up with everything (this is the only streaming device I've used that doesn't struggle with hulu). My only complaint is the remote; it is incredibly slippery and will not stay in place on any fabrics, the remote is also small to a fault - it is extremely uncomfortable to use for any extended periods. The remote's ability to also control a TV or speakers is also extremely nice, but doesn't seem to support many speakers. A Logitech Harmony DOES work with this (set it up as an nvidia shield)

Easy to install, like the on screen format, fewer buttons on controller is a plus. Like being able to link my photos.

Very user friendly system. No ads on the home screen is the best feature. All aps are listed in one place. I wish the remote was flat and not round on the bottom. Also, would rather have the volume buttons on the front instead of the side. But, overall a very good streaming device.
