Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased the Chromecast with Google TV through Google store, due to special discount being offered. Being primarily a Roku user, I found that the interface is not as easy to use as Roku, and that some videos are jittery. To test, I watched the same video on a Roku device, and there was no jitter at the time in the video where I saw it using Chromecast. The remote is also not as easy to use. This is now my backup device to my Roku Stick device.

Posted .Hi there BuckeyeKnight, thanks for trying out Chromecast with Google TV (HD). We're sorry for any difficulty you may have experienced with the interface and the Voice Remote. It's also unfortunate that some of the videos you watch are jittery.
If you haven't tried yet, resetting Chromecast with Google TV (HD) may be helpful. A factory reset will reset the Chromecast device to its default factory settings. Note: This action will clear your data and can't be undone. To reset:
With the Chromecast Voice Remote:
- In the upper right of your TV screen, select your profile > and then Settings.
- Select System > and then About and then Factory Reset.
From the Chromecast device:
- While the Chromecast is plugged into the TV and powered, press and hold the button on the back of the Chromecast. The LED will start blinking yellow.
- When the LED light turns solid white, release the button and the Chromecast will then reset.

It wasn't available to pickup at store when ready

However, it wasn't available to pickup at the store, and told to wait five more days before it was available again to pick up. It wasted my time and extra trip to the store.

It looks like the support has been ported over to other money making devices or service (Bart AI). If you want everything else but the casting feature, then this device is good for the price. Otherwise find something else.

There’s a possibility that your Wi-Fi network configuration is preventing your devices from communicating with Chromecast. To resolve this issue, you will need to disable Access Point (AP) isolation, also known as "Client Isolation" or "Guest Mode," on your router. Refer to your router documentation to learn how to disable AP isolation.
