Not as good as Roku Ultra

I also have a Roku Ultra and a Fire TV stick. Either of these provides better audio/video quality than the Chromecast, with Roku rated first in my experience.

Unfortunately, Spotify is not working with the Google device. They are working on it I guess but at present won't work.

Basically I wanted to set up a vacation house with a TV that you could cast to from the app on your phone to allow multiple people using their own streaming accounts. In the case of Netflix, this will insist on using the Netflix app on this device which means it needs the credentials saved on this device based on the Google login that this device uses to save basic things like the WiFi password. In order to use another Netflix account, you have to log out of the Google account and setup the WiFi password again. Really a pain when I just needed it to stream what was on the phone like to original Chromecast.

Rather than switching between accounts for your cast-enabled or streaming apps, you can create a user account for each member in your family in Google TV, and each user account lets you save different credentials on the favorite streaming apps that you use. This way, you can simply switch between user accounts on Google TV and get a more customized experience. I'm using it on a Samsung T.V. that was not using the latest tech. Did not feel like dumping a T.V. that was only 4 years old.

- Check for potential sources of interference. Thick walls and electrical devices located between your Chromecast device and router can cause signal interference. Try to position your Chromecast in a location with a clear line of sight to the router to improve signal strength.
- Evaluate the congestion on your Wi-Fi network. If you have many devices connected to the same network, it may be causing congestion and affecting the performance of your Chromecast. Temporarily disconnecting some devices can help improve performance.

Does NOT have GUEST MODE option
