Posted .Hi there, JoyceB. We’re sorry to hear you’re having trouble with the remote on your Chromecast with Google TV (HD). Here’s some troubleshooting steps to get your remote reconnected:
1. Remove both batteries from the remote.
2. Reinsert them and check if the LED flashes twice.
3. If the LED doesn’t flash twice, remove and reinsert the batteries within two seconds. Repeat if needed.
4. If the LED still doesn’t flash twice, replace the batteries with the original ones that came with the remote. If these batteries aren't available, use two fresh 1.5-volt AAA batteries.
5. Lastly, remove both batteries, wait 5 minutes, then reinsert them while checking for the LED to flash twice.

If you may have left your Voice Remote at home, it's still possible to use your mobile phone or tablet as your Google TV remote by simply downloading the Google TV app. To learn more about this feature, check out this help article: https://support.google.com/googletv/answer/11136134

Additionally, hotel networks use captive portal networks and Google Nest products usually do not work with these kinds of networks which are common in airports, internet cafes, coffee shops and hotels. We recommend using Chromecast with Google TV (HD) with a high speed broadband Internet connection and a reliable Wi-Fi network for the best experience.

Easy product to install and use.

It's small form factory makes it an easy addition to any television or projector. The addition of the remote makes it an absolute stand alone unit, with volume controls and Power control, so one does need to have two remoted just to turn on the tv. The Chromecast with Google TV (HD) offers numerous applications to allow one to stream from numerous streaming services. Grouping this unit with other nest speakers or Chromecast enabled devices gives you the ability to play music through out your home with control from the one remote. This unit makes streaming affordable, fun and super easy! We use Fubo.tv, Hulu, Showtime, Netflix and several of the free streaming services and this unit handles them all with ease. I would recommend this to friends and family. One must remember that most of the streaming services I have called out by name are paid services, and you have to have a subscription to be able to stream from them.
