This review is for the bestbuy sweepstakes. I got this because I needed another smart cast in my home, and i already have a chromecast that has served me well. I havent run into any issues. I got it on sale, but i am not sure i would pay full price for it.

Controller is hard to see and falls out of my hand easily which is almost always upside down once I pick it up. Can't tell which way it is facing because of the shape. Nice that it turns my TV on and controls the volume so I can eliminate the other controllers. Worth it for the price and the interface works well.

Works really well and so easy to get started watching

Works great. I have a sony smart tv that I love but the processor is a bit outdated and not fast enough to stream without buffering. Having google tv has allowed me to continue enjoying my sony.

This is the second Chromecast that I have purchased. The first was several years ago and I just needed a new one. This newer version is so much better. I also purchased this new one on Black Friday so it had a great price.

We've tried the Chromecast with a couple of older TVs and it feels a better product compared to for example the Apple TV. It's cheaper and has similar functionality.

Does everything I need, however, unlike roku and fire tv there is no xfinity steam app.

As far as connectivity, it works far better than the budget Roku model it was replacing as it can connect to BOTH 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks. But it loses points for its navigation, which is very bad IMHO, and looks like it was just an afterthought; and a lack of an integrated watch list (like on Roku) without requiring too much in the way of privacy compromises. Another bog downside was that it dangles off your tv; they should have sprung for a 6" longer cable so it could sit/lay down. Lastly, the remote feels super flimsy (it feels like its about to break after only a couple weeks use) and I am sure will need to be replaced within a year; again build quality is just fair at best. All in all I would recommend over Roku. Decent value if bought on sale. It's OK but its not great.

I’ve had two of these and they are absolutely amazing. There is one thing I don’t like about it but other than that I love this item. Pros- everything about it is amazing Cons- Some apps will crash occasionally but it works on the second try.

The chromecast works great. The are a lot of free channels and the casting works as it should. It was a little tricky setting up but figured it out.

It took minutes to install, I immediately enjoyed the programming I like

Chromecast is good for people that have a lot of apps on their tv, and not enough space left. Once my tv hard drive and Chromecast hard drive run out, I can then use my phone to cast applications to my tv. Also, you will get extra channels for free by using chromecast.

This is the best in class streaming device , I have used Apple TV and fire stick in the past . But they don’t come anywhere closer to the chrome cast. Very satisfied with the purchase

The apps on my smart TV wasn’t working and I was going to purchase a new TV. Someone recommended I purchased the Chromecast with Google TV. Now my TV is now working , even better thru the Chromecast. Great product !!

I love it! I have a google system, and have added the chromecast to my google home. It completed my smart home tech. Never had any issue overheating either.

Plug and play. Quite easy to navigate. However, use with phone app required.
