This is an excellent movie, that brings a sense of real first person point of view to the story of three friends and a incident that will change them forever. A fresh young cast, and co-starring Micheal B. Jordan (Fantastic Four/Creed). Truly a unique film that has developed a cult following.

We had rented this movie before, my kids just loved it.

This movie was insane with super powers. I watched it a few times.

This is one of those rare circumstances in which a avid movie watcher such as myself, I watch between 3 to 5 movies a day every day, that I wanted to love this movie very badly but it just always seem to be right on the cusp but just falling short. The script is good not great, the cast is good but not great, the cinematography is good but not going to be great ever, and I think that we can blame the directors in this instance only because he could have pleaded with his producers to up the notch on each of those things that could have made this an easily five star movie across the board. So with the excellent every day low price offered by Best Buy.com you're not gonna go wrong here so take the chance, risk the very few dollars of reasonable price, and sit back decide for yourself and leave your own review!

I actually bought this movie on a whim since it was on sale for $5. I did not have too high an expectation for the movie but it looked really interesting while I was browsing the Blu-Ray section. After watching it with my wife, I thought this movie was one of the better filmed first-person movies right now, seriously! I loved how this movie surprised us with plausible plot and great acting...I don't want to talk too much about the plot since I don't want to reveal too much information for potential movie watchers. Anyway, pick up this movie if you love surprises!!

So what would three teenagers do if they actually gained super powers? This movie raises so many questions and that's what makes it good. All the mystery behind how they gain their powers and why just leaves you wanting more. The acting is diverse in characterization, the direction has elements of a classic super hero movie and the visual concept for this film only adds to the realism. I like this movie and I hope there's a sequel.

While I am infinitely sick of "found footage" films, this one seem to really work well. What works best is the fact that they slowly wean you off of hand-held camera work until you end up watching, more-or-less, a conventional film - thank God! In short, the move blends science fiction with super hero and horror themes, to create a unique film exploring the age-old notion that, "Power corrupts and absolute power, corrupts - absolutely!"

Good movie with quality acting by Michael B Jordan and Dane DeHaan. Dane was perfect as Andrew who was physically and mentally abused which led to his tragic decision-making with his new found powers. Was not annoyed by the found-footage format and usually I am, but it was well written. Good movie, but would have liked some history of the object that gave the young men their powers.

Best Buy sent me a bonus $5 credit that had to be used within a couple days, and so I found this in the $5 bin. I've liked this movie's realistic approach ever since it came out, but the extras aren't so great that ever I considered buying it before. There's very few extra scenes in the directors cut, but nothing major, and no director's commentary..

I generally hate "found footage" films, but this one actually seems to work because they slowly ease you into a more standard film style without you really noticing it. The film blends Sci-Fi, Action, Suspense, and Superhero genres, effectively. The movies primary theme is, "Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely".

I really enjoyed this movie. It deals with a subject that many of us have dreamed about. What would happen if you developed super powers. What would you become? Would you be a hero or would your ambition push you to an untapped darker side. Great acting from the young cast. Entertaining.

I really liked this movie because Dane Dehaan is one of my favourite actors and he did an amazing job with this film. I especially liked the fact that the BluRay contained an alternate version of the film in addition to the theatrical version. This is a great movie for people who like action/adventure films. The whole movie is shot to look like it was filmed on a home video camera, kind of like how Cloverfield was filmed. But the picture quality is excellent and the film is really compelling and fun to watch.

Wanted to watch this movie when it was in theaters but never got the chance. Got the Blueray/DVD/Digital version and was not disappointed. Interesting plot and good acting. Takes a dark turn but overall an interesting story. Makes you wonder what you would do if you were in the characters' situation and had their abilities.
