This movie probably made more at the box office than what it was truly worth. I felt that something was missing, as I watched it and I am still unsure what that something is.

The movie's not very good, but it's cheap and 3D so worth it overall for me.

the original was amazing... this remake tends to just steal the story line of the video game "god of war" in order to defuse any possibility of a god of war movie being made. although the 3D makes it more enjoyable, it doesnt make the bland storyline from being completely flat.

As one of the few non IMAX or children's animated movies available in the Blu-ray 3D format, this title found its way into my collection. My expectations for the 3D effects were in line with reality, so I'm pretty happy with the purchase. It is in my opinion an exciting action movie with good special effects and enough 3D depth to help draw you into the experience. In a nutshell, do not expect the 3D to be on par with Avatar or any other native 3D movie. See, this movie was shot using a 2D camera, and later converted to 3D. I did not see it in 3D at the theaters, but by most accounts it was a terrible 3D conversion. I have read that Warner Brothers remastered the 3D for the Blu-ray release, and I am inclined to believe it because I did not find the 3D to be terribly underwhelming for what it is. I am certain, however, that other reviewers will post negative reviews stating that they couldn't tell if the movie was 2D or 3D and whatnot... just as they did with The Last Airbender (which was also shot in 2D). If you buy this movie expecting world-class 3D effects, prepare to be disappointed. The reality of it is that any 3D conversion will not be as perfect as a true 3D movie, just as paintings are not as realistic as photographs. If you buy this movie because you want something in 3D that you can watch with buddies over a few beers, you might be satisfied... just be sure to start the night with a few minutes of some IMAX film or kids movie to show them what 3DTV -can- do.

Was a sweet movie, watched it on my 13" MacBook Pro. Would have liked to have seen it in theaters, but numerous people and reviews told me not to waste my money. Unless its a Uwe Boll film I will never listen to what anyone has to say about a movie ever again. The Kraken would've looked WAY cooler on the big screen then on my 13" MacBook Pro... Cut half the dialogue from the original film (I would've fallen asleep if this was the original) add some good fight scenes to it, and you got yourself an action flick. Anyone who is looking for an awesome Oscar winning storyline in an action movie is just being silly!!

Clash of the Titans is a remake of the film made in the 70's of the same title. The modern take presents very good special effects and good acting as the actors seemed to enjoy stepping into this mythological tale. The primary drawbacks in this film are the lack of true character development or a semi-cliche' character arc. The action and setting are the true stars of this tale as it moves quickly and doesn't really let up.

although this was a great remake of a classic with lots of updated CGI I still love the original as a more in depth and developed movie. The characters in the original such as Carabas are fully developed and are presented as much more formidable foes for Perseus. Leaving out gugo the Owl was a tragedy. The Kraken was not nearly as scary as the one created by Harry Harryhausen. overall, a fun movie to watch but the original is much better.

It's a fun action packed film...now don't expect a academy award winning film, it's certainly not. But it fun and action driven. It's nothing as the original film, but that's what makes this film fun and east to watch. You won't be bored watching this film. So grab your popcorn and get that tv on... It's time for action...

After having seen this movie on regular dvd, it was a pleasure to watch in 3D. Not native 3D, but when Hades descends it's pretty cool. A lot of special effects were only made better by 3D.

Wish they had this in 3-D. But since its a remake of a bad movie this one is actually pretty good. I enjoyed the effects and the true loyalty to the original. Any fan of Greek mythology will love this.

I had seen the original when I was younger, and although the story is a little different in this one, I did enjoy it, it was a good flick, I would even say the story was better in this version. They took a story about a man in love in the original and turned it into a revenge story with a little love, and I liked how they made small refences to the original.

I really enjoyed this version of Greek Mythology come to life. Growing up in the Mediterranean gave me a great appreciation for Greek Mythos and stories centered in the Mediterranean sea. This movie brings it all to life, keeping true to the feel and tradition of the original stories. The stunts and cinematography, as well as the acting, made it all very enjoyable, really first rate. The Blu Ray version has amazing graphics. Most memorable, IMHO, was the Medusa, who was perfectly portrayed as a blend of seductive beauty and hideous ugliness (not an easy blend to achieve). The acting was great too, and brought a nice sense of realism to the plot. Awesome directing in general. 5 stars for sure.

I loved the original with all of it's special effects and poor acting. So, when this movie came out at the theaters I decided not to see it. It is so disappointing that Hollywood only knows how to remake moves, turn books into movies, or make super hero movies. Where is all of the creativity they claim they have? That said. The movie in my opinion was great. I didn't think it could have been better. I watched it with no expectation and that made it even better. The special effects were great. The story went in a little different direction from the original. There was even a blatant reference to the original movie that got a chuckle out of me. I was most surprised at the lack of profanity. I think there was one in the whole movie. How does that happen anymore? I wish they all were like that. The bottom line for me...buy it!

I watched the original Clash of the Titans as a child and loved it so I was so excited to hear that it was being remade. I felt like the storyline kept it interesting without leaving out any of the most important aspects of the original screenplay and the special effects were FANTASTIC! I watched it with my 4 kids ages15, 12, 10 and 6. They all loved it and were not offended or afraid of any aspects of it. The youngest two understood it was fictional fantasy. I purchased it at Best Buy, getting the lowest possible price, because the sales person called another store I was concerned would be cheaper and matched their pricing when the computer didnt show the sale price that i knew the competing store was offering.So everything about this particular movie was Great.

The cinematography of the movie was excellent as I would expect a 21st century movie to be, but to try to remake a story that was already beautifully done (with less money and cheaper graphics) I was disappointed in the movie. Graphically beautiful .... everything else I was really disappointed.
