Spielberg nailed it with this film and as luck would have it my friend was the Key 2nd AD on the film and said it was fun making this picture!!

Richard Dreyfus's best work. The story line was well thought out and put together well. It illistrates well what a difficult situuation a close encounter could be like. Great visuals.

I owned the bluray version of this and when i saw it released in 4k, i drugged my feet on buying it. But once i got it the 4k is worth the extra money.

Blu-ray format really brought back those fond memories of one of the first movies that started all of us thinking about other life beyond our planet.

Close Encounters is Spielberg at close to his best. His best movies are on an elite level with films like ET and Jaws, but this is not far off.

The sound and picture in 4k made this experience like seeing the movie for the first time all over again. Great sound! Rattled the walls.

for its time this is a great sci fi piece. also on blu ray quality with all the extra versions you cant go wrong. it includes theatrical, directors cut, and extended cut.
