Interesting the history and content of these bluerays

Better than I remembered it. Sometimes its great to re watch movies that you enjoyed as a kid.

Its been nearly 40 years since I watched this movie. It is still a great movie and looks terrific in 4k. Strongly recommend.

Another classic film by a great director in his prime

I love the original movie and bought this special director's cut without ever watching it. I just knew it would be worth it.

It's been around for a while, so it doesn't have the fancy special effects we know today, but this is still a great movie !

A classic sci-fi from the 70s I remember it being kind of scary as a child. Not scary anymore but still a great movie.

Perhaps there’s only so much they can do with older movies, but I was really disappointed in how this movie looked in 4K. The dark tones looked speckled, and the lighter tones, while looking better than the darks, were still not very crisp. Perhaps in the future they will issue a remastered version. Until then, save your money. As for the movie itself, it’s been a while since I’ve seen it, and it doesn’t hold up very well, The special effects aren’t great, and there are several instances that don’t ring true or question that are left unanswered. Why would the space ship follow the roadway in the scene where people were waiting for them to come. Why were they waiting at that spot? How could the two main characters so easily penetrate the government security? If the people who were taken in the 1940s were just returning, why was the child returned in such a short amount of time? And how could Richard Dreyfus’ character so easily make the decision to leave on the space ship and leave his wife and three kids behind without any apparent thoughts about them?

Great movie, Great quality. Good family movie. Would recommend this blueray

They really cleaned up this movie for he Blu-ray transfer. The colors pop and the picture is sharp.

On older movie that looks great on blu-ray. Enjoyed watching a older movie from my childhood. Richard Dreyfus played his part well.

Good stuff from Steven Spielberg early on. Not the kiddie ET stuff.

It’s matt , not shiny , but has nice colors and the movie is a classic so you won’t be disappointed .
