Great Movie, love the way the camera was held thru out the movie.

Okay the plot is slow, you don't see the monster until the movie is almost over, and the camera shakes so much that I had a bad headache the entire time. The only thing worth seeing is when that chick's head blows up through the hospital screen. I had to sit through this movie twice, even though once was enough. Fair warning to all, if you get motion sickness easily, DO NOT Watch on a FULL Stomach!!!!

Expected a better movie based on comments from friends, etc. Parts of it was okay but a lot was a little far out there.

THe idea behind this movie is the true value. If nothing else you should watch the making of.

Now I know why I didn't bother seeing it in theatres. After the first several minutes I got a really bad headache from the shaky camera movements. Every time the action started to pick up the camera "suddenly" gives out like the person dropped it, a sign of the films extremely low budget. All you get to watch is shaky camera shots of up close face, butt shots and most of all ground shots throughout the movie. VERY POOR ACTING. The only descent special effect was the Statue Of Liberty head flying down into the street and even then it was quite obvious that it COMPLETELY out of scale. People were standing next to it and were just as tall as the head. WHAT A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME TO WATCH. I stopped it half way through. The back says "FRIGHTENING". I say bulls$#t. You can get scared better with an old horror flick like Friday 13th or Chucky.

Cloverfield was okay just not good as older movies

I believe this movie was created to get the most money at the box office by tricking movie goers that they would actually learn what the monster was. Instead they got an 90 minute love story with an awful ending. The action scenes were awesome, but dragged down by a sappy love story gone awry.

115 MIN MOVIE KEEPS YOU INTERESTED,BUT DISSAPOINTS VIEWER TO SAY THE LEAST.IF THERE WAS THIRTY DIFFERENT ENDINGS TO CHOOSE FROM,THE DIRECTOR CHOSE THE WORST POSSIBLE ONE.

so disappointed in this film! even my kids were complaining how bored they were. I was so glad to see the monsters start killing everyone!
