  • A good, budget pair of FRS radios

    This is a pair of good, budget FRS radios. I have used them up to a 1/4 mile in a residential neighborhood, with some trees. They sound very good and clear in that setting - absolutely no static! I have tested them inside a car, and they will permit car to car communications for distances up to at least a 1/4 mile. These radios are compact and easily fit most hands. They are easy to use, and work right out of the box. My only criticism is that the rechargeable Ni-MH batteries provided have a small capacity of only 650 mAh. On the plus side, they will take less time to recharge using the provided cradle than higher capacity Ni-MH rechargeable AA batteries. I got mine on sale, and consider them a good buy.
