Saves on batteries
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Usually go through a set of batteries every other day, with even minimal usage using issued radios for company I work with, and couldn't find any attachments to plug into them , so decided to purchase my own radio, this unit batteries last almost a week with moderate usage

great for kids to keep in touch with home

They use the walkie talkies to keep in touch with home and each other. Plus, the quality is way better than the "toy" ones they had.

The design is compact and controls are programmed simply so my daughter can place them randomly around our house and annoy us beyond belief.

Not what we were hoping for...

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these for a specific purpose...my daughter was going camping about 1 1/2 miles from our house, where cell phone service is non-existent, and we thought the 2-way radios would be a good solution. As it turned out, we should have read more reviews before making the purchase. We obviously had way too many non-optimum conditions, because they didn't work for what we wanted them for. They probably are very good radios under optimum conditions.....they were worthless for our purposes.
