The design is compact and controls are programmed simply so my daughter can place them randomly around our house and annoy us beyond belief.

They use the walkie talkies to keep in touch with home and each other. Plus, the quality is way better than the "toy" ones they had.

As it turned out, we should have read more reviews before making the purchase. We obviously had way too many non-optimum conditions, because they didn't work for what we wanted them for. They probably are very good radios under optimum conditions.....they were worthless for our purposes.

Posted .I am sorry the radio had poor reception. Radio coverage distance will vary depending on multiple variables such as: terrain, interference from other users, and electrical noise. The radio can reach a maximum of 25 miles under ideal conditions. For ease in changing batteries, please ensure that the belt clip is removed prior to removing the battery cover.
