I haven't used it on the longer settings yet, but for the shorter settings it gives a nice clean stubble, as advertised. The head flexes well to trim the hairs that grow in different directions on my neck. The guard flips back for trimming under the nose and evening sideburns. Only drawback, as stated in other reviews online, is that it is difficult to trim right under the nose using the guard. Flipping the guard back seems to work for me. Quality seems about right for a sub-$50 trimmer.

I had an older version of this shaver (non-digital) that I got good use out of. I needed to replace it and decided on this digital version (they still sell the older version). All in all, I am happy with this purchase. The battery life is not too impressive, but it seems to be getting better with use (I charged it overnight the first time per the instructions. I only use this once or twice a week and the charge pretty much can only handle that-so maybe not a good option if you travel alot. But since I don't, there is always a way to plug it in in the bathroom.

I have been searching for a beard trimmer for such a long time. I was using an electric shaver that had a trimmer attachment, but it only shaved at one length. I wanted something with multiple settings that work easily and precisely. This is the product! Couldn't be happier!

Good trimmer for the price. I would like it to trim a little closer. Not as loud as my electric shaver. When I used it without the guard, it cut me quite a few times on the neck.

Have had this trimmer for one month. It's much easier than anything I have ever used. I would highly recommend this product. I hope it lasts a few years.

This would be a great trimmer if it had a decent battery. As it is, the battery does not hold enough charge for even a single trim. It also does not work well when plugged in, since it has to be plugged in a few hours before it will get through a single use. I should have returned it, but I needed a trimmer that would work on European voltage.

Approximately 8 weeks ago I bought the Panasonic - All-In-One Washable Rechargeable Hair and Beard Trimmer from my local Best Buy store and after all is said and done it did an, 'Alright', job. After the trimmer adjusting head suddenly broke into 3 pieces after washing it under the wash tap after use, shock it to get the excess water off and the head suddenly flies across the bathroom, I had to hit the market again for a decent trimmer, but this time, something that could actually do the job that I wanted it to do. Hence the purchasing of the Conair i-Stubble Hair Trimmer. All I can say about this product is SUPERB. It has an easy to use adjusting trimmer head that feels solid in position when using it to trim my beard and my scalp. I use the 0.4 cut for my scalp and have not felt any nicks or pulls whatsoever when using it. Wish this had been on the market the first time around. SUPERB PRODUCT

This is by far the best trimmer i have owned in a long time. It does what it says it will do and does it fast. The floating head is the best part it just glides over your face and body. I love the built in guide adjustment makes for easy changes and no more lost guards. I wish it had a charging stand rather than just a plug but the battery life is about 30min. Easy to clean the head pops off and can be washed with soap and water. I recommend you by a good spray cleaner oil combo you can get this from any hair care dealer don't use WD40 or 3in1 its way to heavy of and oil and will tear up the plastics. So if your thinking about getting it get it your going to love it.

I spent lots of time reviewing beard & stubble trimmers before opting for this one. There were some reviews that warned of poor battery life/performance, so I took out the added insurance of buying it from Best Buy so I could take advantage of their excellent extended warranty option for around another $10. Saying that, I've had this for 2 months now and so far it is working fine. I also read stories that it was difficult to trim directly under the nose, but again, once I fold back the guard, I have had no problems in this area. The way the trimmer effortlessly trims my stubble is amazing. It's certainly the smoothest trimmer I have ever used, and I have been through quite a few. The only thing I had to get used to was the preciseness of this trimmer. On my previous trimmer, I used a setting of 0.4mm to give my stubble the desired "5pm shadow" look. When I used the same setting on this trimmer, it more or less gave me as good a shave as my Mach 3 razor! I now set it to 2.0mm for my beard and 2.5mm for my moustache. I have only had this a few months, but I am really glad I took the plunge and purchased it.

I've been in the market for a trimmer for awhile (I had been using those $12 trimmers you can buy from CVS), and after doing a little research online I came upon this one. I have been very happy with my purchase. The trimmer itself is very easy to use, and the closeness of the shave is great. One of the main complaints I saw online regarding other trimmers was that the battery life was not so great. I have not found that to be the case with this trimmer. After the initial charge, I have used my trimmer about 4 times and still have about half of the battery life left. I didn't place a rating for the value of the price because I don't know what other good trimmers of this nature typically sell for. I do know that I think my new trimmer is worth what I payed. If you're on the fence about this one, definitely go for it.

Great product for a very specific use. It's called the i-Stubble and with good reason, it's perfect for keeping up the stubble look. It's advertised to work on beards and goatees too, but unless you want a VERY close-cropped beard you should looks elsewhere. It states that it goes to a 5mm length, but unless your holding it away from your face there is no way it gets that far, 3mm max is more like it. Four stars because it's so good at stubble, minus a star for being misleading about beards.

he likes to keep a beard or shadow .. but it itches if too long .. he loves his istubble .. perfect stocking stuffer this year, thanks Conair!

This is by far the best trimmer that I've ever owned regardless of price!

Trimmer worked great for 2 months. Small white plastic piece (unsure of name) that pretty much makes the thing work, broke. Called conair to ask about the return; dude said ship it plus give them 5 bucks to ship it back to me...I said no thanks.
