Its about the disease, not the cast.

Overall, I thought the movie was pretty good. I'm not sure why folks thought it was slowed paced. The scenes take you from place to place rather quickly, to follow the disease, not the characters. This is not the movie that dives deep into the background of the characters. Again, it's about the disease, not the cast. I would say that Jude Law has the most screen time, and Gwyneth Paltrow has the least. I don't want to leave any spoilers behind, so I will finish up with this. China must hate this movie. I liked it quite a bit.

Hollywood plot showing what has happened on smaller scales around the world and the possibility of what could happen. If you only take away the awareness of hygiene and contamination, you are a little more informed. It is truly amazing how one little thing can become a huge disaster. We just never know..........

This prescient movie is extremely well directed by Steven Soderbergh. Audio and video are very good. A few bounus features that focus on what could (and did) really happen round out the disc.

Enjoyed this movie & the outcome where all this started was suprising. It just goes to show you how the little things in this world could wipe out a civilization.

A very realistic and dramatic portrayal of how a disease could spread across the world and devasate it.

I went in to this movie expecting something interesting and intriguing. I was so very let down. The movie is packed with great actors and actresses, but that doesn't compensate for the speed at with the movie moves. The rate at which the story moved could be compared to the rate at which a turtle crawls. Everything seemed very vague and uninteresting. And the way it ends, it made it feel like M. Night Shyamalan wrote it. 'What a twist!' Almost as though throwing a twist in at the end makes up for the fact that every character is boring and doesn't really have a backstory. It's not that I was looking for action either. Just something a little more engaging. There are far better movies out there to watch. Especially with Laurence Fishburne in them.
