    Keeps a 3900x cool

I added a second 120mm fan to this cooler using the included brackets, so it's working in a push/pull config. Under lightly threaded workloads my 3900x stays in the 45-55C range, and hits about 70C when full loaded. Even with two fans being used with this cooler, it's a quieter setup than the stock cooler that the 3900x came with.

very quiet and cools pretty good. A lot better than any stock coolers and the matte black looks really nice. The installation was confusing and took a couple looks at the manual to get it right

    Great deal and good temps

Looks great in my case and provides great temps for the price. I have an 8th Gen I7 running at 5Ghz and temps while gaming can creep up to the mid 70 degrees Celcius range. Keep in mind this is an overclocked processor with an RTX 3080 in the same case at full load with an air cooler that costs under $40. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an affordable air cooler that looks good and performs well.

To start, I’d been using my pc with a ryzen 5 1600 in it with the stock cooler no issues, but as soon as I touched overclocking the thermals shot up even at undervolting. I switched out to this cooler and running a modest undervolt/overclock I don’t see more than 75c on ryzen master.(Using only one fan!) The only reason this didn't get a 5 star from me was just because it was a little hard to get the cooler to thread on their bracket through the motherboard, and putting the can brackets on was a bit sketchy slotting in for me.(Both things very well could’ve been error on my part aswell seeing as its my first tower cooler)

Easy to set up, easy to mount and keeps thermals well in a normal environment for an air cooler.

My liquid aio 360mm from enermax paired with a delidded 9700k with copper plate and liquid metal were running at max temp at idle. I needed a fix fast and didn't want to spend a lot of money. This cooler for $32 is a steal. I'm running that chip at idle seeing 30-35c with the included thermal paste! In game not getting too hot either. I'm only using the 1 provided fan also. Very satisfied and maintenance free.

    The classic

Cooler Master's Hyper 212 has been a staple among budget buyers for nearly a decade. They have reinvented their product with this black edition. I have used the Hyper 212 line for years, and found it to be unbeatable for it's performance and price. Sure, there are better quality air cooler products, but they do not range in this price. It does the job that it has always fulfilled, which is solid cooling as a budget friendly option. You can do some decent overclocking with the cooler, though if you are an extreme overclocker, I would seek other offerings. All in all, the classic shines once more in the budget range.

Easy to assemble but a BEAR to install on the CPU, at least on my AMD processor. You will need a long-shank Phillips screw driver not mentioned in the instructions. I also had trouble with the backing retainer that installs on the underside of the motherboard. In my situation, there wasn't case metal clearance for it, and I actually had to unfasten the 9 mounting screws and remove two slide clips. But after everything (took the better part of a day), I'm very happy with the cooler. Does an excellent job and very quiet.

Easy to install, decent cooler. Hard to get the hinges on sometimes which is why I deducted .5 stars. Another .5 deduction since water coolers will always be superior.

Great heat sink for an office computer. Installation is a bit difficult, would recommend looking up a tutorial on youtube in order to ensure you get it right.

    The Ever Reliable 212 Evo

Old reliable. The Evo 212 has been around forever and continues to be the best sub-$30 choice for cooling low- to medium-TDP CPUs. Idle temps on my 5600x are around 40C, maxing out around 80C under load. Can't ask for much more out of a cheap air cooler.
