I brought this to replace the AMD Wraith cooler that came with a 5600x CPU. Originally with the Wraith, at full utilities, the CPU can sometimes reach 94 degrees celsius. After replacement, the Hyper 212 managed to reduce the temperature down to 60 and below, even at max utilities during a hot California summer. You can also add another rear fan behind the heatsink to increase its cooling capabilities.

This cooler has been working efficiently for me. It does a good job of keeping my CPU cool during idle times (30-35 degrees C) and when in heavy use (50-55 degrees C) I would recommend this cooler, especially if your CPU doesn't come with a stock cooler. I do think however, if your CPU does come a stock cooler, this is still a better option in almost every way.
Installation was a breeze and it was also very affordable.

This is the 3rd Cooler Master - Hyper 212 Black that I’ve purchased. The first one was a few a years ago when I build my home media server that I'm still using keeping, the CPU cool. Second is on my main PC, also purchased a few years ago. Ryzen 7, 32, GB RAM, Samsung 970 M.2 500GB, ASUS MOBO 570 PRIME and 3070 FE. Last is on a i5 9th GEN 16GB, Samsung 970 M.2 500GB. ASUS MOBO

Have to start by saying the mounting bracket has been upgraded and is far more secure then previous models. That being said it's still too complicated for such a simple thing. Some many other venders have made this a very simple thing to figure out yet Cooler Master seems to go out of its way just to step over itself. If you've ever put together items from Ikea then this should be a breeze; if not, well good luck. As for the Cooling Aspect, it's fine, but the mounting bracket is just way too complicated to be useful.

Works amazing. Only gripe is installation can be a pain but thats only a one time thing. It looks clean, cools around 30c less for my 3600 under load vs stock cooler so money well spent.
