Overall the cooler has worked great. My temps have been right within range with it. The fan is pretty quiet and it was all fairly easy to install. It does come with some thermal paste that has worked fine as well, nothing fancy.

Pros: Option of adding an addition fan. Thermo paste, does what it was designed to do Overall Review: Taking into account the size, be prepared to have to remove the fan. That is, if you intend on populating slot A1. A quick workaround would be placing the fan on the opposite side of the heatsink. This configuration will pull air through the heatsink, as opposed to pushing the air through the heatsink. Motherboard: Asus H570. Another option would be to purchase low profile memory modules. Best Buy's Specifications: Little to be desired. No mention of sockets this product will fit. I don't know about you, but I do not like playing the guessing game. Easy to install cooler for intel and Amd cpus. I used this on an old intel i7 cpu and it is massive but as a consequence provides great cooling performance. Im running my computer doing cpu crypto mining and it is very stable. That being said make sure your case can support a cooler this tall (160mm high) so check your case spec before buying.

My old computer's Intel heatsink was shaken off during shipping. I originally just wanted to reapply thermal paste, but I found it was better to just replace it with a brand new heatsink. It's cost-effective, quiet, and easy to install.

Was on the fence on processor cooling with my budget PC build (with a recycled CPU, among other things). I was very tempted to hack up the old case that the CPU came from so I could reuse the original cooling, but when I realized I didn't have any reinforced Dremel wheels I decided to just buy this instead. And I'm glad I did! This thing is not small (especially in a mini ATX) and was slightly tedious to install, but very much worth it. Runs very cool and quiet. If you don't feel like installing water cooling, this is a solid choice.

good replacement for AMD stock cooler

this cooler is overall very very good for the price especially if your looking to replace an AMD stock cooler (wraith spire/stealth). the wraith prism has about the same cooling as the 212. I upgraded my wraith stealth stock cooler and I was getting 50 - 55c idle, now im getting around 30-40c.

I purchased this for my 11th generation i5 processor (locked). It does an excellent job at keeping the CPU cool on demanding loads while remaining silent. It is a tad bit tricky to install, and does take up a considerable amount more of space than the stock cooler. However once it's in there, it works great. I would not recommend this for overclocked processors, but for standard Intel processors, this is much much better than the stock cooler.

I've bought two of these coolers over the past several years. They have always been reliable, quiet, and come in at an unbeatable price. I've had zero issues keeping a Ryzen 5 9600x cool at near-silent fan speeds. The included thermal paste is a nice benefit.

Very affordable air cooler for your CPU. Perfect for the 65w TDP CPUs but I would not use a 105w+ CPU with this as it only has 8 heat pipes and 1 fan. Otherwise great budget cooler for your budget gaming builds.

The price for performance is outstanding keeps temps at around 30 to 32 degrees vs the stock cooler at 40 45. I have 2 fans running and don't hardly hear anything spinning. Install was fairly simple you do have to get underneath mobo and the clips could be better seem flimsy and cheap. I prefer the plastic backplate vs a metal previously that other hyper 212's models use so the mobo doesn't short out. I like the black color scheme. These coolers are the kings of stable performance and price been using for years!!.

Boss fan, its real quiet, and keeps my CPU processor cool. The instructions are detailed, and pictures; as you have to assemble the correct chassis, AMD or INTEL; The fan is versatile, and can be mounted in a 'push' or 'pull' configuration; or additional fan (purchased separately) if additional air-cooling is necessary for your build. I got this fan, as the processor is capable of over-clocking when I need it.

Awesome Cooler at a Great Price!

Okay, this CPU cooler is awesome. I'll preface this by saying I've messed around with computers for something like 30 years, but I've never actually bought a CPU cooler. The first few computers didn't even have CPU coolers! Anyway, I've used stock coolers on at least five desktops, and they were generally fine. The two main desktops have AIOs, and they're fantastic. I recently upgraded the server with a used enterprise Sunmicro board and a Core i7 4770S. It came with a tiny low profile Dynatron T450 CPU cooler and fan, which was not even adequate for idle, so never went to low RPM. Under load, the CPU temperature would immediately shoot up well past 70C and continue climbing. As soon as I installed the Hyper 212 Black Edition, I loaded the CPU for max power and heat with prime95, and in 10 minutes, the CPU never went above 66C and never got anywhere near close to throttling. Great results! Additional: Packaging is great. Build quality is great. I think it's silent, but I can't hear the CPU cooler at all over the chassis fans anyway, since they're 3-pin and run at max speed. 4-pin PWM fans are next for upgrade. The Hyper 212 line has long been recognized as the best budget enthusiast cooler on the market. I'm impressed and can only agree!
