at 70$, i dont think its that bad of a projector. but at the 140$ not so much. it worked ok if lights are on but a big difference if lights are off, and dark. we had ours even with the bottom so it was projecting at a slight angle upwards. it was hard to get it to focus correctly because of this. it has a tilt future that would bring the top part towards you some (which was pretty cool) and that helped a lot with focus but still not quite perfect. there is no carry case, the unit was very light and a carry case would help to sell it more towards portable. it also has a cover for the lens, but no way to attach the cover. the cover itself has a hole in it, but there was not provided string, and looking on the projector seemed to have nothing to attach to as well. also no batteries. package did not say they are included, but also did not see it say not included. i have not used other projectors around the price range, so i dont know how it looks compared with those as far as picture. sound was not the best. loud but kinda like a metalic sound. a few things that are good with it. like i mentioned, its light. it does at least come with a lens cover. easy to get set up. if you really want a projector, and you get a projector screen (we have a screen that you pull out and its on a stand) its not to bad for starting out if you dont have the money for something nicer.

I have had this projector for a little while now. I needed something for work that I can show maps and PowerPoint presentations. The Core Innovations Projector does a nice job, without breaking the bank. I was able to create a PowerPoint presentation and load it to a USB drive and plug it into the projector. I then was able to open the file and had a couple of choices to either use the remote and advance frame by frame when I was ready or just hit play and it would play the whole presentation. The projector did a great job with crisp and clear text of the presentation. The images looked a little fuzzy, more so than the text. On one of the PowerPoint presentations, we had recorded narration, but after sampling it on the built in speakers we thought about getting rid of the narration, but I adjusted the Sound in settings, put it on Movie Mode and turned on the surround sound and it was not as bad as the original. The Core Innovations Projector can be used with the following inputs VGA, USB, AV, Micro SD card and HDMI. It downscales the video quality to match its native resolution, not a great thing, but at the cost, its not so bad. It comes with a headphone jack, which can also be used for external computer speakers which is probably a better choice than the internal speaker that is included. As with most projectors this one performs its best in a dark room, you can still see the image in a lighted room, but you would probably develop eye strain if you had to do it for an extended period. We are happy with the small investment, if it becomes a bigger part of our meetings then eventually, we can invest in a better one, but if not we really didn’t waste a lot of money on something we might never use.

Solid projector for price, not professional use

If you're simply looking for an easy way to up your screen size for movies, games or other media consumption, this projector is a solid choice. Please note that this isn't a HD or great quality picture, but for the price everything is good. There are plenty of ports to utilize, which makes it nice. One drawback to the inputs, though, is that the projector can't recognize using USB as an input from another source. Again, the image quality isn't great at 800x400, which is not good by today's standards, but at this price, you shouldn't be concerned with that. The menu system is straightforward and easy to use, and the focusing mechanism also is no frills. While there isn't a carrying case to really make this "portable", it's small and lightweight enough to throw into a backpack to bring around, though the power brick is slightly bigger. Also, while the projector can output sound, there is really nothing worth using as true sound. It's very harsh, as you'd expect from something this small. In fact, it's probably worse than your phone. That all said, it's less than $100, so if you just want a big picture that can be used on a variety of surfaces, there's no reason you shouldn't pick this up! This is not for any sort of professional use; rather enthusiast or portable work stuff.

I'm impressed by the video output of the Core Innovations Projector. It's better than I expected and it's got a number of useful features for the price point! Features It comes with a remote control that provides basic media controls if you're doing local playback from a flash drive on the projector. Focus and keystone control are physical controls on the projector itself, not the remote, but the adjustments work well. I found they corrected the display as needed easily. There's a built in USB Type A port and MicroSD card reader for local playback of video, photos, and music. There is a simple built-in user interface for controlling playback of files from the flash media, including running slideshows, playing video files, and audio files using the remote. There are not a lot of options but it does the job and the remote works fine. There are two speakers built in that don't provide exceptional sound but do get the job done if you have a small room or audience. It was good to see it has two HDMI inputs and as well as one VGA. Many display devices don't include VGA anymore which can be handy if you end up needing to connect an old computer. It supports a 1080p signal coming to it though it downscales that because the native resolution is 800x480. Picture Quality With a lower resolution of 800x480 photos tend to look blocky. Color is good though. The color surprised me given the low contrast ratio that's stated. Video is really good on it in general. As with photos, video has good color and the motion helps hide the low resolution. I'm not saying you'll think that it's HD but it looked good, much better than I thought it would for watching video. This is great for my kids watching some shows! In Summary In a dark or darker room the Core Innovations projector plays video well and provides a large max screen size. The fan noise is very noticeable but I've still used it with the built-in speakers and I forget about the hum of the fan. There is a headphone jack if you want to connect external speakers. You can pay a lot more and get a lot more but I'm impressed at the video quality and features that the Core Innovations Projector delivers at this price point.

Pros - compact, lightweight, great contrast, super easy to set up and use. Cons - fan is a little loud and the speakers aren't very good, but sort out an alternative sound set up and it will be no problem at all. Overall a great purchase that I'm very happy with.

    Good for simple mobile projections

This projector is somewhat on the basic side of the spectrum for projectors. It is fairly small and projects a big picture, but the video or photo display is far from high definition. I wasn't expecting high end video as I did read the specs, this was basically for projecting video and photos on the go or while on vacation using my mobile phone. That is where this projector exceeds compared to the home theatre projectors. It is small for easy transporting and has multiple connections including usb for the cell phone or thumb drive. There are also some small speakers built in that get fairly loud and a 3.5 audio jack for external speakers or headphones, but low end sound. Good enough to get the job done if you do not have an available Bluetooth for your device. The build quality is questionable and I am not sure how durable it will be over time. It feels like a very thin plastic snap together design and has a simple twist knob height adjustment. It does include adjustments for the placement including keystone. It has some other basic video and sound adjustments but I didn't notice much difference in the modes. Overall for the price this is a fun little projector for travel or school projects.

I would not recommend this projector for family night or entertaining guests. Even more so than that, I would highly recommend not gaming with this. I had the screen set to 60" in a fairly dark room, and it was very pixelated with terrible focus issues. This only gets worse when you try to make the screen bigger. You can focus the middle of the picture, but the outer edges will be way out of focus. You will need the room to be very dark to view the picture, otherwise the picture looks washed out. On top of that, the sound quality is terrible. It's very hollow and tinny. This projector would be ideal for background ambience, or use in holiday decorating, like projecting a movie or effect on your house or wall. To be honest, it was tough to watch anything on it. The major issue with this projector is it's focus is way off. Personally, I would go a different route. Likes: 1.) It will do 1080p 2.) Comes with a remote Dislikes: 1.) Horrible focus issues 2.) Poor sound 3.) No batteries included with remote

For the price, the Core Innovations Home Theatre projector performs really well. Keeping price in mind, do not expect HD quality projection, as is the case with other projectors within this price range. The Core Innovations projector would be better suited for a kids room. I tried watching an action movie on this projector and the image quality wasn't all there to help me fully enjoy the movie like when watching it on a 4k TV. My son really enjoys watching his cartoons and movies on the projector. I mounted the projector using an affordable mount found on another site (search mini projector mounts) and it was really easy to mount to the ceiling. I was really surprised at the number of ports that the Core Innovations projector has. You have two HDMI ports, USB, VGA, and micro SD. This is really incredible for the price. My Epson projector doesn't even have a micro SD slot. You also get a control. As for the built-in speakers, don't expect too much out of them. I connected a sound bar system to it to make things more enjoyable. Overall, the Core Innovations projector is a budget friendly "home theatre" projector. It will definitely make for a perfect holiday gift.

This projector is such a fun and unique device to have. I can think of many situations it would come in handy or make viewing media of any kind more enjoyable. When I first took it out of the box, my first impressions were that it was pretty small and light, but also felt pretty cheap. The plastic housing and the buttons all felt pretty cheap, it does not have a "quality built" feel to it. I did like the remote and all the functions it can do, as well as all the different inputs this projector can take. I also like that it has a tripod mount. My preferred and perhaps many people's preferred input is the hdmi input. It is very versatile, I know I have a laptop I can plug into it if need be. But more importantly, I purchased an additional adapter from hdmi to USB-C, so I can plug it directly into my Samsung phone and tablet. For me personally, the options are endless at that point for what I could use this projector for. I have already streamed several movies from streaming platforms on the tablet and it worked perfectly. Important to note that although this projector has a built-in speaker, it sounds absolutely terrible and I would consider finding a different option for sound. I connected my tablet to a bluetooth speaker and it was much better. As far as video quality, it's clearly not a screen, you can't compare it to one or expect it to look like one, but it honestly looked better than I was expecting nonetheless. It was bright, colors looked okay, and it was not blurry or pixelated. I can see this being perfect for video games, especially with big groups. Again, not for someone looking for insane video quality, but for someone looking for a huge screen, this is a good option. Also will be great for outdoor summer movies, it is not difficult to setup and it will be perfect. You can finally have a "TV screen" where you've always wanted but it was never practical to put one. For example on our deck in our gazebo, during summer months this will probably be used nightly. I can also see this being perfect for events such as graduation parties for pictures, or weddings, etc. I also love the feature that changes the angle of the screen to make up for having to use the projector at an angle up at something. I aimed this up at the ceiling from a tripod on the floor and it was easy to adjust the angle and make the picture be more rectangular. Again, this projector has many different situations and settings that it will be perfect for. I am more than satisfied with it.

This Core Innovations Projector was very easy to setup. After I read the quick setup, I was watching a Netflix movie within 10 minutes! I connected the projector to my laptop using one of the 2 HDMI connections. This projector has a keystone adjustment which was easily adjusted. The sound is not the greatest but will do when watching movies. Highly recommend it for a beginner projector.

    INEXPENSIVE, LOW-RES PROJECTOR

The thing you immediately notice about this item is when you pick up the box and how light-weight it is. I know it sounds rude, but the light-weightness of this projector inside the box set my expectations a little on the low side before putting in-use. I was impressed with the packaging ... everything inside the box was very secure and protected from exterior damage during handling. All the manuals were there. Each of the 3 items (...projector, remote, a/c...) were individually plastic wrapped. Putting the pieces together was very intuitive that referencing the manual was not necessary ... even upon initial boot up when the projector was set on "Czech" versus "English", it was easy to move around the menus and get it switched to "English". The projector is VERY light-weight. The various inputs were readily marked and easy to understand ... AV, HDMI1, HDMI2, VGA. I didn't need to refer to the manual to initially try out the system ... I plugged it in, turned it on, and inserted a MICRO SD card and away I went viewing pictures from a recent vacation. While the pictures on the MICRO SD were in high res, the displayed images through the projector was pretty low-res. I haven't had a chance to use outside at night to see if the resolution is any better, however. This device is prefect for low-end usage and especially outdoors where it might get bumped and/or dropped on the ground. There isn't a lot of money invested in the unit, so if it breaks, no harm / no foul. I think my daughter will enjoy using it and I'm not worried if she harms the projector. I would only recommend this to someone that isn't going to use often and isn't a videoholic, where they might insist upon perfection in viewing videos. Nice little machine!
