Buggy and poor battery life.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This mouse is terrible. When it's working, it's no better than any other gaming mouse. Most of the time it's not working. It can't hold a charge for more than 3 days. My Logitech at work has had the same AA batteries in it for 2 years and I don't even have to think about it. The ICUE software is garbage, It's really the reason I bought the mouse, because my keyboard is Corsair too. When ICUE works, it's awesome. It generally does whatever it wants and forgets its color settings. Corsair is just garbage really. Inconsistent and buggy.

Good for general use, not for gaming
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to use with the corsair k65 keyboard for gaming. Works fine for general use, but stutters entirely too much for gaming. Went through all of corsair’s recommendations, and had no success. Common issue according to google just wish I had seen that before I bought it. Banished to iPad use for me.

Try Before You Buy, you will love or hate it.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Reviews on the Corsair Dark Core RGB PRO SE wireless gaming mouse seem to be polarized, love or hate. I am in the 'love' crowd. I think it boils down to fit. No mouse can fit all hand sizes, so my best advice is to demo one if you can for fit, if it does you might like it. If it doesn't, you will be annoyed by every flaw. Some folks seem to have problems with the thumb button, I didn't. I tried this mouse on both a MacBook Pro, and a more traditional gaming rig. Was surprised it even worked on the Mac, but make no mistake, this IS a GAMING mouse that shines on a PC rig. The specs, speed, resolution (DPI 18,000) are so over the top for anything else. And the lights scream out 'look at me.' Not exactly right for the board meeting. You do pay for that performance, I need to recharge the mouse every couple of days of hard use. Fortunately it is Qi wireless charging. Love that feature, new for me on a mouse. (TIP, get a large charging mat to fit the mouse as the charging coil is off center). Charging was no big deal to me, but appears to annoy some. It has three connection modes, wired, bluetooth, or slipstream 2.4ghz wireless. All worked flawlessly for me. You select between them with a small switch on the bottom (TIP, to turn off the unit, select wired with no wired connection). I honestly could not see a difference between slipstream or bluetooth, both were lightning fast for me. It does go into sleep mode when not used for a while, never interfered with what I was doing and woke up quickly for me. And it never seemed to miss a click. I do get compliments on the lights. So up to this point, I would rate the Mouse a strong 5 for performance, fit, and value (its not expensive for these features). And then we come to the iCue software, which although it's not prominently mentioned in the quick start guide, you absolutely need to configure the mouse to take advantage of all its options. (Tip download from Corsair web site, and it does NOT work in bluetooth mode). The software is confusing, was pretty much hit or miss with me to get things were I wanted. But I had already decided I liked the thing so I was willing to play with it. But for those on the fence, the software will drive them crazy. There are a lot of good tips (and complaints) in the forums. Oddly, it was easier to install the software on the Mac for me. I have never seen software like that for the Mac (controllable lights). Pros 1) Very fast and smooth. 2) Great, customizable ergonomics (fits my hand fine, reasonable weight) 3) programmable keys 4) three connection modes. 5) cool lights that can be programmed into almost any combination. Reasonable 1) 2 day Battery life is long enough for me, but those that want to forget about it for a month will be disappointed. Cons 1) The iCue software 2) The iCue software 3) The iCue software

I wouldn’t recommend this mouse
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This mouse ended up braking on me after 2 months of having it. I wouldn’t recommend this mouse due to my experience. The RGB lights are a cool feature to have for a mouse but it’s not worth the money. There’s better choices to choose from.

broken mouse
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As at least 100 other reviews from different sites combined about the middle mouse being LOUD "squeaky" that you can hear with headphones on defected mouse that reviews go back to at least 5 years and the issue was never fixed. And the mouse weighs A LOT compared to other mice that have the same layout

Great mouse, terrible battery
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this mouse, didnt end up returning. I think its a requirement to have a wireless treating mouse pad. This plays great and have no issues besides it just dies fast.

Waste of Money
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had nothing but problems with the Dark Core PRO SE since I purchased it, battery life was about 2 days if lucky, software has crashed so many times I lost track of them, and then the wheel stopped working. When I contact Corsair Help Desk (1 year warranty) they required funding up front to fix the mouse, I would need to purchase another to use while the Dark Core was fixed! Were is the logic in this? That was strike three, Corsair is out. Purchased the Logitech G502 X Lightspeed Wireless Gaming Mouse.
