Awesome mouse with tons of customization, rbg is great. If you have smaller hands, it might feel a bit big

Corsair Dark Core is a great mouse, except...

Corsair's Dark Core mouse is a great mouse. It feels large and hefty in the hands and is very accurate in gameplay. The one thing I didn't like is the scroll wheel. It feels too sticky and doesn't scroll as easy. I shelved this mouse and went back and bought the Logitech G502 Hero. That mouse is not wireless like the Dark Core, and feels smaller in the hand (a feeling that takes getting used to). But it has the infinite scroll wheel. And that was the deal breaker for me. YMMV.

      Hi Nikolai,

Are you saying you just didn't like that the mouse doesn't have infinite scroll wheel functionality? Did you see that listed somewhere before purchase? We'd like to change that if possible, do reach out at any time: support.corsair.com

Needed a mouse for the laptop I bought. This is just like any gaming mouse with all the macros but this one has RGB. I do like the seting button to change dpi and profile. I am glad with this purchase.

Very happy with the Corsair gaming mouse. For the low price you get great features. The sensitivity is awesome and easy to get used to. Plus it can light up different colors if you want.

    Great Mouse, Terrible Battery Life

I have used this this product for a few months now, and am finally ready to give my honest opinion. The Dark Core RGB PRO Wireless works as advertised, as far as all buttons and other special functions. All of the buttons can be programmed to operate as any keyboard or mouse input with included software. You can map your buttons to quick keyboard shortcuts or even macros. You also program the lighting here, albeit not all of this is exactly intuitive. But once you figure out the program it's not the worst out there. If this was all I had to say about this mouse I would give it a 4.5 star rating. But the advertised battery life is way off. I use my mouse on an average about 2 hours a day, That's a combined mixed usage, less than an hour of that is any kind of gaming. I am more comfortable playing long stretches on a controller. I have had a few 3+ hours gaming sessions with this mouse, but mostly use it for everyday computer stuff. They claim it goes to sleep when not being used, but I have to charge it EVERY 3rd day. That means I only get 2 days of usage out of it. Maximum I have gotten 3 full days, but would die before the end of the 3rd day. Add that up and I am only getting 10 or less hours of actual use. PATHETIC. I recently upgraded to Razer wireless mouse, also rechargeable, very comparable specs, but everything is way better. But my point is, I get a minimum of 5 days, sometimes 7 before I have to charge it. So I would give the Dark Core a 2 star for battery life. Comfort was OK, so I averaged out and gave it 3 stars, I personally would NOT recommend this product from my experience.

      Hi,

Thank you for your feedback. You can adjust the DARK CORE RGB PRO's sleeping behavior in iCUE settings. Battery life can also be prolonged by adjusting the lighting's brightness. If you have any questions, we'd more than happy to help: support.corsair.com

Nice mouse for a mix of work and play. Not button heavy for MMO gamers but a few extras as macros for simpler games. Nice weight and not overly crowded performing work tasks.

I have had alot of Corsair wired mice and loved all of them. But the first time I buy one that is wireless I end up getting one that keeps losing its connection to the slipstream module. I am going to plug my Dark Core wired mouse back in and use this one with my laptop. I am hoping it will do better through bluetooth.

      Hi,

Thank you for your feedback. Is your SLIPSTREAM WIRELESS dongle connected to a direct USB port on your system? It would also help to have the dongle inserted into USB port that maintains direct line of sight of the paired device. Changed from a Razer Naga Pro. I had difficulties with my Razer mouse, i had sent it in for an RMA but in that process i needed a new mouse. I picked up this Corsair mouse as it was still wireless and USB C charging and worked with my Corsair K55 Pro keyboard. I ended up getting a new Razer mouse from my RMA but decided to keep the Corsair mouse and sell the Razer mouse online. Cant go wrong with Corsair.
