There is no need to be cautious of approving iCUE to control the mouse - it is designed for full functionality with macOS via iCUE software. There's a "DPI" tab for you to adjust tracking speed. The DPI is also easily adjustable via the two left side buttons on the mouse - please refer to the quick start guide: https://www.corsair.com/corsairmedia/sys_master/productcontent/NA_DARK_CORE_RGB_PRO_QSG_AA.pdf. There’s an additional software setup for customization so you can set up the mouse to your gaming style. I seriously recommend this mouse for the price.

Even brand new the battery would die after about 5 hours, and after using it for only a month the wireless dongle stopped working! The mouse now only works if it's plugged in or in bluetooth mode, and you loose all the special features in bluetooth. And even before it stopped working, the software you have to install if you want to use any of the buttons on the mouse was trash as well - a multi gigabyte program that has to on at all times, using up a ton of system memory, who's only real function is to try and sell you other Corsair products. Absolute trash. I will never buy another Corsair product after this.
