Needs improvements for a Gaming Mouse

I was a fan of the idea of a wireless gaming mouse and a Corsiar mouse at that. However this mouse was giving me some issues I'd like to avoid while mid-game. For connectivity the mouse seems to skip my view a considerable amount, meaning I'm walking strait and the view just pans up, down, left, or right at random. After a while it stops and is working fine. However during competitive gameplay this can be frustrating. At some points, though, I lose connectivity altogether and the button in game seems to lock and I'm unable to adjust my view. The Corsiar Utility Engine is running at the time, so maybe this aspect is a software related issue, however I think having a wired mouse would avoid this type of situation from occuring. The side buttons, to me, seem overextended. My thumb is barely able to touch the "sniper" button (lower dpi button for precision), which is unfortunate because I mapped my keys in game to the side buttons. I had to remap to utilize those keys again, which was a minor inconvenience. This, however, is just my personal experience. Others might not have this issue if their thumb reach is longer. Overall the mouse is fairly comfortable and had really vibrant color effects. Just these issued I've stated show that this mouse seems to be intended for casual gameplay rather than competitive.

Bought this mouse with high expectations. A few things made me return it for something better suited for me.
What I didn't like about it:
- 1 of 3 side buttons were a pain to hit (the forward button)
- the 2 extra buttons on the left click were hard to click. seemed too far back
- battery life. had to keep it on the charger when I was playing a game since it only lasted about 24 hours (as advertised)

Good mouse, feels great, buggy CUE software

I bought this mouse to pair with the Corsair K95 RGB keyboard. The mouse works well and seems to stay connected via the 2.4Ghz connection. It fits well in your hand thanks to the contoured shape, and can be switched to a left hand mouse with an included attachable left thumb rest. It is also nice to have a wired/charging vs. two different wireless options, and no removable batteries that need to be replaced.
I removed one star because, when paired with a Corsair keyboard with onboard lighting profiles, the mouse will only sync with a saved profile if the CUE software is running, which adds one more program running in the background if you want your mouse to sync with your keyboard lights. Otherwise, the mouse defaults to the first profile loaded into it when CUE is not running. Also, you have to reset the DPI setting every time you change the lighting profile or power it on for the first time. Otherwise, it works well with Corsair keyboards when CUE is running. If you're looking for a nice high DPI gaming mouse, this is certainly one of the better options.

Good idea lacking that fine finish

This mouse works good for the most part but it has a weird rattle internally, the cue software is so so but this is lacking a lot of effects such as spiral rainbow, rainbow and color shift are exactly the same it doesn't support lighting link like the M65 for instance. The dpi button or sniper button to some is in a odd location slightly out of reach causing you to shift your thumb and i have big hands. The scroll wheel and the parts to add more width although my pinky finger still drags works good with 2.4ghz dongle, Bluetooth can be choppy though. Seems easy to clean off the dimples in the rubber and spread enough out to not get junk stuck in it overall im kinda disappointed pricey mouse that feels like its still in a beta phase.

I'm very pleased with the performance of this Corsair mouse! It's indescribably fast both wired and wireless, and has way cool color changing schemes on the wheel, logo, and side buttons. Buy one!

I purchased this and so far so good, however I will say the software that you download uses up some sizeable memory and system RAM. So for those of us who like to use the least amount of CPU cycles or RAM so there is more room for games be warned, one can however use the mouse without iCUE software although you lose the benefit of programmable buttons and lighting effects.

But the mouse does not sync with my K95 keyboard with iCUE software for lighting. Very comfortable mouse to game with.

I had a Logitech G602 for years and it finally broke. I wanted a mouse same day so I went to my local Best Buy and this was the best option they had. Or so I thought... This mouse is absolutely terrible and so is the software to control the buttons. When booting up the computer, half of the time the Corsair software would boot and then not work, making it a pretty standard wireless mouse. As frustrating as that was, you could generally use task manager to stop the service and restart and it would start working again. But only a couple months of gaming with it and the scroll wheel stopped working, making it worthless for most games and even general web browsing. Also, this mouse uses a rechargeable battery that charges with a USB cable, which would be fine as the battery can last a couple days, except there is no way to check the life of the battery so if you forget to plug it in one night, you may be left with an inoperable mouse. In the end, I would recommend not buying this. I will be sticking to Logitech for quality products in the future.

I currently have the wireless keyboard and wanted the mouse to go with it. After 4 hours with this mouse it's given me tons of issues. Constant stuttering when attempting to play games. Lost connection couple of times as well. I did try the 2.4 and the Bluetooth setting, and problem was current with both. They keyboard is great, but cant recommend this mouse.

The battery life on this mouse is the worst I've ever seen, and the software backing it up is horrendous. Getting the back button to work, ever, has been a nightmare.
