Horrible Mouse and Warranty
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I bought the mouse and overall I liked it. However, after a few months, it started to malfunction with now scrolling correctly and making weird noises when you clicked anything. I contacted Corsair and we tried a firmware update which did not as I expected since it wouldn't help with the noises anyway. I sent the unit back and had to buy a replacement mouse while I waited the nearly 2 months for the warranty replacement to show up. Which the replacement after a few months is already having issues and will need to be replaced again. So basically with owning the mouse for 8 months and with 6 months of use on 2 different units that both broke. My recommendation would just go to another brand if you're looking for an RGB mouse as Corsair is cheaply made in China and the warranty is useless. Mind you I have a couple of travel mice and one for my second computer that is nearly 3 years old and still working perfectly.

Great convenience, Needs update on sensor.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was in search of a Wireless gaming mouse, but after using this for over a month I have one major gripe with this mouse. While using in wireless mode every so often the sensor will glitch and jump across the screen or will turn 180 degrees entirely. This major defect obviously has a huge negative impact on gaming.

Outstanding Mouse and Software!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My last gaming PC was well before the explosion of gaming hardware you see nowadays from companies like Corsair. Were there nicer mice than others, sure, but nothing on the scale you see now. I asked a few friends that never got out of the PC upgrade game on the mice they liked and Corsair got quite a few mentions so I decided to give the Dark Core a shot. I am pretty darn happy with this mouse. The feel of the mouse is great and I really like that it comes with an additional plate for the right hand side of the mouse because it gives a little platform for your pinky and keeps it out of the way. I never noticed just how much that finger drags on my desk but now that I have used this one, my mouse at work actually feels funny. Another thing I like about the ergonomics are the buttons and their actuations. It is easy to reach all of the buttons and they give a nice tactile click so that you feel it as well as hear it. The software suite for the Dark Core is also really nice and makes it incredibly easy to change the led coloring, button layout, and responsiveness. It is also nice in that it is a unified software platform so that if you own multiple devices, you can control and sync them all through the same program. Now I know that this has become quite common with many peripheral companies but I liked the ease of use of the Corsair software. I also appreciated the calibration software that tailored the responsiveness of the mouse to my pad. In the past I was always forced to use the slider controls and ballpark the setting but running the quick little calibration tool dialed it right in for a really nice setting. Right now I'm running it wired so responsiveness has been top notch but I like that I also have the option of both Bluetooth as well as RF through the adaptor. You can never complain when you have so many options for connection and it ensures the greatest versatility for a wide range of platforms. Again, I am very happy with the Corsair Dark Core mouse and I think that I'm going to stick with Corsair when I go pick out my gaming keyboard. If they do as well with keyboards as they do mice, I think I will be really happy with it as well.

Quality controller and finish is lacking
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start off by saying this is my first time buying a Corsair mouse. And I had high hopes for this mouse. Liked how it looked, and it seemed to fit my needs and wants from a new mouse. And this would have been the case, minus this annoying squeak that came from both right click and the mouse wheel. Over time the right click squeak went away, but the wheel seems to have gotten worse. Can't seem to scroll up without it squeaking nonstop. I know I ordered a mouse, but this is ridiculous. Honestly considering returning it as is. This is unacceptable and not at all what I expected from a mouse that costs more than AAA game and then some.

Meh of a Mouse
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a mouse that needs to be test driven. If you have a brick and morter store close by, stop in and see how it feels in hand. As with most mice, the feel is the most important part next to performance. The performance should make any gamer happy. Astetics are a bit lacking. Pros: - The mouse has good glide. - Three ways to connect (Cabled, 2.4 Ghz, BlueTooth) - Good quality cable - USB converter, although not sure what it is good for going from micro-usb to usb-a Cons: - Side button placement is not intuitive. There is not enough of a difference in the feel to know what you are clicking. - The wings seem to be a waste. Other mice I have used with the wing thumb rest allowed you to keep your thumb off the mouse pad. My thumb drags with this mouse. - Right side interchangeable wing / pinky rest was also to small to be useful, even for smaller hands - Overall feel just seemed less premium and more budget like - Software is lacking, and that is being nice. - Software/firmware version I am using doesn't give much/any control over lights. This is a easy software fix, so not knocking anything off.

Good if not gaming
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For gaming the right mouse button would act like sticky keys and keep me scoped even after letting go of the key. You could de-scope if you clicked key again briefly.

Great hardware, lackluster software.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Saw this mouse announced at CES, was excited to have a wireless mouse shaped like my old Logitech G502 to replace my G900, as it's shape isn't at all my favorite. So far I am quite satisfied, the feel in hand is very good, very ergonomic, input lag is imperceivable compared to wired mice or the vetted G900. The lighting and other settings were a bit confusing to change in Corsair's CUE software; it could use some streamlining. It is very unfortunate that some other reviewers are experiencing connectivity issues and stutters, the mouse I received seems to be free of these issues, though I will note when using the mouse wirelessly I have it in 2.4ghz mode with the dongle/reciever always only a foot away or less from the mouse. Only hardware issue I've experienced is the mouse spinning out (cursor will point straight up towards the sky) twice over the course of two five hour gaming session. I'm sure a firmware update will fix that. Overall, quite satisfied, would like to see some more polish on the software side of things as the hardware is quite solid.

After Just 1 Week, DEAD
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this mouse for about a week. It never worked right. Even after making adjustments it continued to give me problems. Things like the curser would disappear and then reappear, the RGB would work and then it wouldn't. Now after charging and recharging it is completely Dead. Good thing I kept my Logitech to use until I can replace this one. I will be returning this.

Good fps mice
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was looking for a replacement for my razer chroma mouse and saw that corsair was selling the dark core rgb mice so i took the bullet and purchased it. As an FPS gamer the mice feels excellent in my hands as it is lightweight and not clunky. Also, being wireless is a plus of course, no wires to mess with my game play. However, in the beginning I have to say that before the firmware update the mice was terrible(disconnect issues, wire& wireless), worse mice in the market period. But the updated firmware seems to have fixed this problem so far. The only downside I have with the mice are the ring of buttons on the right side. Who ever designed it must not be a gamer because in my opinion they are trying to do too much. No gamer in their right mind would have buttons located where it has the potential to be pressed every other second. Please keep it simple and try not to rice out the mice. But other than that I would definitely recommend to a friend.
