Ergonomic gaming mouse with precision
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like how this mouse feels. It is very comfortable and easy to use. It comes with the CUE software that you can use to remap the buttons on the mouse. This mouse comes with rechargeable battery. Charge it fully for the first time before using. It has both wired and wireless option to connect. Wireless can be done via the receiver or Bluetooth. It is very responsive and has smooth scrolling. This is supposed to be a gaming mouse, but it can also be used for everyday activities. The RGB lighting is customizable with the software. The battery is said to last 24 hours with continuous gaming. I have been using it on and off and it lasts me more than a day. Overall, the build is great and it is very comfortable to use. Try it out if you want something ergonomic as well as gaming compatible.

Not feeling this one
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First thing i would recommend is going to the store and actually putting hands on the mouse. While precision and latency are important, the actual in hand feel is equally as important and for me this mouse is kinda lacking. It has a cheap lightweight feel to it, just doesn't seem all that well made Pros: - The mouse has good glide. - Three ways to connect (Cabled, 2.4 Ghz, BlueTooth) - Good quality cable - Look pretty cool with the RGB Cons: - Side buttons just dont work so great due to positioning, not easy to find at all. - Overall feel just seemed less premium and more budget like - Software is is terrible - Software/firmware version I am using doesn't give any control over lights. -Random disconnects Overall it "Looks" nice but feels cheap, poor button placement and software that just isn't remotely good, I would give this one a miss

Good can be Great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I want to start by saying I love the feel of this mouse but like many others have said the buggy CUE software and misc issues are holding it back. It is not simple to remap buttons at first but once you do it once it makes sense. I have the same issues many are having (mouse skips/disconnects for a second, challenge to update firmware, etc) but if they can fix the issues via updates and have the mouse work as expected then it is an easy 5 stars from me!

Feature Packed and Very Accurate for Gaming
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My son is using this since he is a gamer. When it comes to gaming, the accuracy and response of the mouse is very important. Over the years, he has used several different gaming mice and feels this mouse is one of the best he has used. The buttons are easy to program and the device feels good in his hand. He has had no trouble with this device and I would recommend it for gaming needs. It may be a little much for a basic, every day mouse.

Great Mouse if a bit on the Light Side
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great mouse that can work cabled, wireless via its own dongle or Bluetooth giving it a lot of versatility. My only gripe is it is a bit on the light side compared to my Corsair M65. This feeling a lot lighter then the M65 I tend to lift it from my desk, however the senor still picks up a great signal as I do it. Using this mouse, besides the weight, feels great in my hand. The fact that it has three savable profiles to the mouse, for lighting and DPI is awesome. It means I don't need the to run the CUE software (which has gotten a lot better) to manage the color, DPI etc. I can just switch saved profiles. The USB cable is also great, not your usual USB, but braided like there normal mouse cables, just detachable and I enjoy the fact that USB plug on the mouse is designed in such a way that it will only plug in one way. YAY no more dark fumbling. Using the mouse pluggd in or wireless I didn't notice a difference in the game play. I was still as bad as I normally am. But I missed with the accuray in all three modes, Bluetooth, Wireless Dongle and Cable. This is a great little mouse, esp. if you like them on the lighter side. I have large hands, but it fits mine fine with no issues and I had no discomfort in use. Battery will last good while, Corsair rates it for 24 hours, I haven't had a chance to play that long, but its still charged for me. If you need a mouse and want wired and wireless, with an option for Bluetooth for your laptop on the go, you won't go wrong with this one.

Excellent Mouse
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This mouse is very comfortable and easy to use. The button placement is spot on and each have a nice, tactile click. Tracking is smooth, the dpi controls are very useful, and the rgb lighting is vivid. The only thing that can use some work is the software as it takes some getting used to but that is only because it is so feature packed.

Gaming Mouse with Precision
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was the first mouse I've used that was designed for gaming. I was impressed with many things, including the comfort/fit for my right hand, the precision that it had, and the smoothness with which it slid across my mouse pad. Those are the key elements that I look for in a mouse and it nailed those key features for me. Another highlight is the built-in rechargeable battery and the ability to use it while charging if needed. And if you have concerns over lag or connectivity with a wireless mouse, you can always use it as a wired mouse as well. The price is reasonable for a solid customization mouse like this. Gamers should definitely give this one a look when they are shopping around.

Great wireless mouse could be better
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros - Very good feel and weight to it RGB Features Excellent Battery Life Bluetooth or 2.4 Ghz support 16000 DPI Included pinky grip Sniper button Cons - $10 more for wireless charging? I love this mouse. It is well designed with a very good feel and weight to it and glides smoothly on my large Corsair mouse pad. It’s heavier than some other mice you can buy these days but I prefer a heavier mouse. You can download the Corsair Utility Engine software which allows you to customize the RGB LEDs. The software can be a little tricky to use, it is very buggy at this time. There is a switch on the bottom of the mouse that allows you to switch between 2.4Ghz and Bluetooth. While Bluetooth is convenient and you may be tempted to just leave the 2.4Ghz adapter in the box you are going to want to use it for the absolute best gaming performance. I’ve used wireless gaming mice in the past and have honestly written them off because I would always run into issues where the pointer did not smoothly track across my screen as well as a wired mouse would. I haven’t had this issue with this mouse yet, it seems to track well even with the high refresh rate of my 144hz GSync monitor. The only downside I really have for this mouse is I’m a little puzzled as to why Corsair markets two versions of this mouse. One with Qi wireless charging and this one which does not have the feature for only a $10 difference. With Qi compatible devices and pads becoming more popular is it worth it to save $10 now if you plan on keeping the device for several years? Overall I recommend this mouse but for $10 more would choose the one with wireless charging instead.

A very Customizable Gaming Mouse
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Corsair Dark Core RGB Wireless Mouse is a relative newcomer to the Gaming Mouse market and has the advantage of being designed after other manufacturers had already showed what works and what doesn’t with these specialized devices; In other words, the advantage of hindsight. To be competitive, Gaming Mice must have very fast response times to counter the movements of AI enemies and human opponents in high level game competitions. A Gaming Mouse has to have extremely accurate hardware and software so that the slightest movement to the left or right will track the crosshairs accurately down to a single pixel. Once aimed, the click of the mouse button must immediately transmit that action to the gaming computer that the mouse is controlling, to get the shot precisely on target before the target moves. The Corsair Dark Core RGB Wireless Mouse does all of this very well and even has the ability to change the sensitivity of the high-end PMW 3367 Optical Sensor built into it. Like all modern Gaming Mice, the Corsair Dark Core RGB Wireless Mouse has so many bells and whistles (button mapping, sniper button, optional magnetically attached contour pads, etc., etc.) that it would take far too long to list them here. Suffice it to say, it has them all. PROS: - Has a very modern look with no-slip padded surfaces to maintain control, even with sweaty palms. - Can be used with the included USB 3.0 wired connection for ultimate speed and response or the included USB 3.0 wireless dongle. It also offers wireless Bluetooth connectivity if the computer being used is capable. - Ultra fast 1 millisecond response time even in one of the wireless modes. - The Corsair Dark Core RGB Wireless Mouse can be charged by plugging in the included Micro USB cable or by placing it on any Qi™ wireless charging pad that are used by many newer cell phones today. Corsair also offers a Mouse Pad that has a Qi Wireless Charging area in the corner that will charge the mouse between games, or a Qi chargeable cell phone during a game. - Comfortable button placement for larger hands. CONS: - Because of all of its features (including Qi charging), the Corsair Dark Core RGB Wireless Mouse is relatively heavy at 4.5 ounces. - Like many products today, the Corsair Dark Core RGB Wireless Mouse has poor documentation. Only a “Quick Guide” comes in the box and it barely shows how to use the mouse, let alone remap the buttons. There is no comprehensive guide for features and use offered either in printed or downloadable form. There is an App Corsair calls a “Utility Engine” that must be downloaded on the computer to check for the latest software version. It contains lots of virtual buttons to make lots of changes and adjustments to the Corsair Dark Core RGB Wireless Mouse, but gives almost no explanation of how to do it or what the App can actually do. CONCLUSION: - The Corsair Dark Core RGB Wireless Mouse is very good, but that’s to be expected of High-end gaming mice in this category. It doesn’t offer any feature that is completely unique or groundbreaking, but it will match anything the competition (Logitech, Razer, Steel Series, etc.) offers. The Corsair Dark Core RGB Wireless Mouse is a good fit for my gaming PC system and I’m very pleased with it.

Excellent Product
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Right out of the box, the Cosair is very sleek and modern. Though, fair warning, it is a more complicated mouse that requires a bit of reading in the instructions. They are hidden in a small compartment above the mouse, and are easily found as you pull the mouse out. The overall design is very nice; textured for easy grip, buttons placed in comfortable spots for quick reaction time, and interchangeable grips. It runs as smooth as its appearance, with a few downfalls. If you prefer your sensitivity low, this mouse is for you. If not, you will have to hope what program, whether it be for gaming purposes or you just enjoy a nice mouse, has an adjustable sensitivity, for it’s purpose. Please keep in mind that the movement will begin to slow down and occasionally stop when the mouse is low battery. The breaks in response get closer together the lower the charge is, so one would recommend keeping it at mid to high charge for its best performance. The mouse does come with an adapter to make it wired, and also has a Bluetooth feature that allows you to not use the small receiver that comes with the mouse. The adapter works fairly well, so using the mouse wired is an option if you’d rather not have to wait the thirty minutes it takes to get the mouse all the way to full battery. There are three cells of energy on the battery indicator, each lasting about 40-60 minutes. When I took it out of the box it had two cells charged already (this is medium charge). It doesn’t take long at all to charge about 30 minutes to an hour to charge fully. When you’re using it for gaming purposes, in my opinion, the battery doesn’t last long. I’m assuming because of the flashy LEDs but I don’t think you can turn those off. I was able to adjust the LED settings but I was not able to turn them completely off. (They can be a little distracting at times.) Would I buy this product again? Yes, I really hope that there are more colors. Would I recommend to friends or family? Yes!

Noticeable Flaws
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm not a huge gamer, but no one wants a mouse that can't keep a connection. Honestly, it drives me crazy when any wireless mouse I'm using starts acting up. It's an even bigger sin when it's a gaming mouse. Even with software updates, I've continued to have issues with the mouse staying connected and functioning properly. I will say, the mouse feels good in my hand. It has a contoured shape, and it's a good fit and is comfortable. Also, when the mouse is wired, it works fine, so I suppose there's that. But if you're buying a wireless mouse, it should work wirelessly. Right now, the Corsair Dark Core really seems to struggle with that. I'm hopeful the company will respond and put out a good fix. Until then, this may not be the best way to go if you're looking for a seamless experience with a wireless gaming mouse.
