    I purchased this to replace the HDD bays that come installed into the back of Fractal Design Cases. It's common that many cases come with 3.5-inch drive bays installed into the case, these can get in the way of clean cable management in an age that prioritizes SATA SSD and M.2 storage solutions. Not every case is going to have the proper holes available to of course thread this over where an HDD bay may be but, a drill never voided a warranty! right?...
