It is primarily used for typeing and looks. The program is very easy to use and all of the cool lighting effects get compliments from my co-workers. Having the silent keys is a plus as the sound is not as bothersome to other co-workers. I absolutely love this keyboard and would definitely purchase it again

Love the Silent MX Cherry Reds!

Quiet Mechanical Keyboard

I purchased a bunch of mechanical keyboards to see which one I liked the most, and this was the clear winner. Easy to type on and quiet (for a mechanical keyboard). I didn't think the volume control was that useful since I've never had that on a keyboard before, but now I think it's a great feature!

Wonderful keyboard

I never liked the ones I saw at stores because it seemed that it required an increase in pressure as you neared the bottom of the key. Someone sent me a graphic online to determine the right type of keys. I ordered this keyboard and fell in love with it immediately. Every day I love it a little bit more.
