Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the superb sound quality and comfortable design of the Gaming VOID PRO RGB USB Wired Dolby 7.1 Surround Sound Gaming Headset. Many appreciate the reasonable price and the effective microphone. While some found the fit and cord length less than ideal, and a few noted the weight and bass response could be improved, the positive feedback on sound and comfort outweighs these concerns.

Great mic, good sound, not so good fit

I recently picked up this headset for both work and play. I needed a good mic for work mainly. The mic on this headset is really good so far. When I am working I make sure I have the settings for clear chat. I have received excellent feedback on the quality of my mic. The sound on the headset is good. Nothing to wow you, but I will say for the money it is very good. If you want top notch sound, you may want to upgrade a bit. The one negative I have is the fit of the headset. They fit loosely on my head. At times when I tilt my head down it feels as though they may slip right on off, even though don't. I would have preferred a bit more snug fit. Overall for the price this headset is a great buy. I only deducted one star due to the fit of the headset because that is something that should be there in a headset.

Amazing Sound Quality and Comfortable Fit

I am blown away by the sound quality of these headphones, I literally jump and flinch during certain explosions and firefights while gaming. The fit is slightly loose which bugged me a little bit at first, but I can wear these for 6+ hours with zero issues. They really are very comfortable headphones and the sound quality is exceptional!

Takes a moment to get settings right

I got this to play games with. I like the mic quality, vs the one, on the headset, I bought on amazon. This headset is VERy comfortable. The material is way better than the cheaper headsets on amazon. SUPER comfortable. It has like memory foam on the top portion of the beam that connects the cups. AND on the ear cups. My first issue was I couldn't get the sound to sound better. I can't explain it but at first it was echoey. At first I thought I needed to get used to it but turns out I just needed to turn equilizers settings to Pure Direct. Download the corsair app. If you have it already, for like mouse or keyboard, it will work with headset too. I have the mousepad and keyboard so I just use the same app for the headset. I can connect all 3 to use the same color theme and they "talk" to each other. Its pretty cool.

I've usually been the type of guy to go for a low end gaming headset in the 40$ range. I finally decided to step up my game and bought this because it matched all of my other Corsair peripherals. Let me just state that this headset is a TANK! It's so sturdy and the plastics that are used are very high quality. The bass is booming, the dolby 7.1 surround sound is fantastic, and it's extremely comfortable. I had no idea what I was missing out on. The UI is very easy to use and the mic quality is great. It adjusts to fit any size of head very comfortably, and the memory foam ear cups and headband feel so good that I want to have this thing on even when I'm not using it! Very worth the money, and I'm happy to be a Corsair customer once again.

    Best Headphones for the $$

These are fantastic. They sound great, they are comfortable, the cord noise is minimal, and the dolby 7.1 surround is leaps and bounds better than the virtual effect other headphones create. If I had to find a "con" about these I'd say the "Corsair Utility Engine" has kind of a poor UI, compared to Razer Syntax, but that's such a minor complaint I can't give these less than 5 stars - they just sound so good.

Theres not much I dont like about this headset. Sound, how it fits, and how it looks are all 10 out of 10. Mic quality is a big deal for me as I play fps games that require alot of communication. And I have to say, the mic quality is great for the price, and the software that works along with the headset is easy to use and it pretty much makes everything better. Completely worth the 80$. I would of liked the usb cord to be a little longer, but luckily I have usb extensions so its not really that big of a deal for me.

Incredible sound. Use razer cortex to unlock 7.1 sound or the corsair app and actually listen to what directions your enemies are coming from. Love them

    Great Sound, Except for PS4

It is fantastic on PC and has been great for my normal day to day gaming and listening to music. My only gripe about it is, when playing on the PS4 the sound is ridiculously low and really doesnt convert very well. There is no way to turn it up either.

    Bug with some Asus motherboards.

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

For the short period of time that I owned these I did like the overall build quality and fit. The issue that I had is that there an incompatibility with using these on some Asus motherboards with built in Realtek sound cards (mine is Asus Prime Z370 P). This prevents you from being able to adjust the volume on the headphones (using the control on the headphones or through Windows). Corsair is aware of the problem but as of 29 June 2018 they do not have a solution other than use a different mother board. Another thing that I discovered while trying to problem solve the volume bug is that Windows 10 does not see these as surround capable headphones, just stereo. This means that the virtual surround processing that they are doing is being performed against just 2 channel audio instead of any multi-channel sound that your PC may be producing. There are other brand virtual surround headphones in this same price range that Windows 10 will see as surround devices which allow them to give a better and more accurate virtual surround experience.

out of the box the setup was very easy the program worked very well and i can edit the RGB lights easily and the sound quality is very good the issue is the way that they are made. there made in such a way that if your head is to small they don't form a perfect seal around your ears so you hear what ever is going on in the background. even on the smallest setting they still don't fit and fall off very easily. Because of this they are incredible uncomfortable/ on top of that there is constant ringing noise coming from the left side i tried unplugging it and plugging it back in to see if it made a difference and it some how crashed my game.

Top Notch Setting, Poor Mic Quality

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Setting up is pretty easy to do. The setting panel when you install iCUE is simple. Lots of setting to mess around with from the RGB and the EQ Presets. The reason I gave this a 2-star review is because of the quality of the microphone. It sounds like I'm speaking into a styrofoam cup. If I adjust to closer to my mouth it sounds like I am eating the microphone itself. In the settings, the only thing you can do about the microphone is tuned it up and done. If you turn it up too loud to sounds grainy, while if you turn it down you can barely be heard. I used this headset to stream and just about everyone told me the same thing, "Sounds like you are far away". I would adjust it closer to my mouth and I would get "Stop eating your mic".Also, a static appears here and there as well. All in all a 50/50 Headset.

    Mixed Feelings

Love the comfort and the sound quality WHEN they work! Had to reinstall ICUE three times to get it 'connected' and have voice prompts. The "control" panel is not intuitive, useless and can't change any basic sound settings. What is it's purpose other than to change lighting?! Sound toggle switch is overly sensitive and creates annoying distractions when using it! Had to change properties settings on desktop toolbar sound mixer icon constantly to 'see' it! All show and no go! Too bad and am returning them!

    Only lasted a couple months

The usb cable failed in the first week. The thing unpairs and will go into developer mode more often than it reasonably should. There is no settings to mitigate that at all. You have to connect the usb, then force a firmware update to get it to resync. Then if it's unpaired you gotta geta paperclip and then pair it manually. If you have it plugged in and press anything while powering it on it can go into dev mode and it will appear dead. like no lights or anything. So doing this everyday kinda sucks. Well about a day after the warranty expired the usb port on the headset started to fail. The usb charging cable was doa, and just after the warranty, the actual port fails. Now I can't connect it to reflash the firmware to re pair it again. uhhgg!!! What a complete disappointment. All the fixes I'm looking for are often mistaken for an error like one above so it is nigh impossible to fix.

i have heard many other people that have had this issue, and none of them that i have seen have found a solution to fixing it, other than getting a new headset. I am going to end up having to return this because of this issue unless there is a solution.
