    Amazing But a Few Tips

My first experience with this headset was me having trouble turning on the thing xD. Luckily for me I was just not holding it long enough to power on. After that it was smooth from there. Although I enjoyed the wireless, I didn't use it as much as I was hoping for. The only time I really saw myself using it was to lay down on my bed and listen to some music. I couldn't use it in my kitchen since it didn't cover that range. And I would always have to charge because it doesn't turn off when I power off the system! I always forget to turn it off. But in reality it should know when it's base turns off, they turn off. Other than that I seemed to have a great product on my hands to play Counterstrike with.

Ended up buying these after buying two Steelseries headphones, and they were the worst. Pros: Wireless, ok battery life, really about it. Cons: When listening to music the bass would make the sound crack, when no sound was playing you would hear static, and sound was just ehh.

Good build quality, but inferior otherwise

So I bought this to replace my Logitech 930 wireless headset. First thing to note is that this looks rather nice and doesn't exactly feel as though it's cheaply made. Upon inspection I found the wireless usb adapter to feel very solid, no wiggling or looseness, like I noticed with the adapter I had for the Logitech headset. The headset itself feels just as solid and is very comfortable. The sound quality, outside of chats, is pretty good. Some profiles sound odd, but that's just me needing to tweak the equalizer settings. Overall build quality aside, things go down hill for this headset. While adjusting the headset I kept hearing a popping noise, which was caused by the yellow plastic being a bit loose. This was solved by pressing those yellow pieces down in a circular motion, but is still disappointing. The wireless range is less than the 930 headset, and not by much. Granted I'm in a 100+ year old house, but I tested them both the same way. The same can also be said for the utility program. While nice, it is very basic and doesn't have as many features as their Logitech competitor. I've had it drop out in chats 5 times so far, and also noticed that the noise canceling on the microphone doesn't seem to work. I can hear my case fans clearly when I'm in Skype chats and it's very annoying. (Which are also Corsair......for now) I would say this isn't a bad headset if you weren't doing voice chats, but then you could just buy a cheaper set of headphones and get the same sound quality or better. I love how durable and comfortable it feels, but I need something more considering the cost. As it is, I think I'll go back to Logitech(regrettably) or see if I can find a better headset from a smaller brand.

I purchased the Corsair Vengeance 2100's to replace a $190 Turtlebeach Z300 wireless set that fractured just below the screws in the left-side adjuster arm after ~6 months of normal, and given their price tag in many ways pampered, use. The Z300's were purchased to replace a $60 pair of wired Turtle Beach PX22's I purchased at the start of 2014 and had fractured in the same location after approximately the same amount of time and under similar care and wear. ***Turtle Beach NO MORE At HALF the price of the Z300's, Corsair has made a product with the comfort and sturdy construction I use to have with a Logitech pro-gamer headset I'd used for more than six(6) years until I literally wore them out late last year. I also find what appears to be a more vibrant low/middle range and a more prolific high-end than I experienced with Z300 *go figure* They 2100's are lighter than my previous Logitech and fit more comfortably on my head and around my not-so-small ears than the Z300. Another benefit is their solid construction in that they reduce the amount of environmental noise penetration, on par with what I found with the Z300 and, much, much better than any other headset I've tried to date ... just ask my wife...Huh? Wha? Oh! You were talking to ME??? LOL My saving grace in enabling THIS purchase was the fact I bought a Geek Squad Protection Plan with the Z300:) They refunded me the purchase price and that enabled me to pick out a suitable replacement which severely reduced the frustration and amount of downtime I encountered:) --I bought a replacement plan for the Corsairs *just-in-case* ;-) NOTE: I treat my gear with the respect of one who wishes to get as much normal use out of them as possible. I never dropped them or extended them beyond the little necessary to slip them off and it was telling to those who know me when they heard I was going for my THIRD set inside a year.

Awesome sound quality... for a short time

I'm a long time user of the Logitech G930 but my last set took a spill off my desk and cracked so I figured I'd give the Corsair set a try having always been a reliable and quality hardware maker. I fell in love with this headset very quickly, it fits wonderfully, very snug even with glasses and the sound quality is phenomenal. However that honeymoon was short lived. A little over a month after purchasing I started getting spotty audio crackling and that eventually progressed into almost full time crackling every few seconds. Very, very annoying and no amount of audio driver fiddling or application switching prevented it. Then, finally, the bass went out completely AND it still crackles. Sadly I didn't purchase the BB warranty nor did I save the receipt for an RMA and while Googling for the crackling woes I discovered it's actually a very common occurrence with this headset. So, buyer beware! If you do purchase it KEEP EVERYTHING and pick up the BB warranty just in case. If this product didn't die out within two months it'd easily be a 5 star item. Alas.

Great headset overall! The battery takes a while to charge. After like 2-3 hours I find my ears needing a break. Also if you have glasses they hurt while they are over your glasses. On a positive note, the sound quality i great. I love the microphone. If you use this headset for short terms they are very comfortable. Overall I LOVE THIS HEADSET!

    Perfect Gaming Headset

I bought the Razer Kraken headset about a week ago as a replacement to my old Turtlebeach X12s. I loved them because of how comfortable they were but I couldn't get the mic to work with my PC and I was also tired of wired headsets. I returned them for these and couldn't be happier. I immediately installed the control software from the Corsair website before testing the headset. The mic works great, the sounds works great, and they are very comfortable.

This is no G930, but for the price it's great. The range is about a third of what the G930 can do. I could walk throughout my house before. Upstairs, in the garage. It didn't matter. This I can go in my kitchen (about 10-15 feet away and it can cut out completely. No buttons on the headset. Just volume knob that can be touchy at times. Sometimes it works great other times it won't go up or down or it does too fast. Sound is fine for me. Mic seems to work fine also. The ear cups are much better than the faux leather that the G930 has. For $77 you really can't go wrong. Even though I miss my G930, this is a worthy competitor considering the price.

When I first got these home I was thrilled, they were easy to set-up, felt like they were well put together, and believed that I had gotten a great deal. But that enthusiasm quickly wore off when I started using the headphones. I first tested the headphones out with some music, they sounded pretty good playing music but I noticed when there was a heavy bass line, the highs and mids would distort a bit. Next I tried a game that I knew supported all manners of surround sound (5.1, 7.1, Dolby Digital, etc...) which was Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls. It wasn't long before I heard what turned out to be the deal breaker....anytime there was heavy bass, like from an explosion, or multiple quick and hard hitting attacks, not only the highs and mids were extremely distorted, but even the bass itself was distorted. I tried another game and got the same results, distortion everywhere. I'm assuming the distortion is being caused by the software emulating the surround sound b/c if you turn the surround off, the drivers seem to be able to handle everything, it's just when they try putting out the 5.1 and 7.1 that things get messy. But really, if the surround sound quality isn't there, what's the point really. It's a shame too b/c otherwise these headphones are pure win for the price. I got them on sale and compared to other wireless USB, emulated surround sound headphones they were a very decent price. They are also built quite well, no shoddy construction or design, and they feel like they are built to last, and don't look too ridiculous on your head either. The setup (connecting the headphones to the receiver dongle) was crazy easy, the initial charge took a few hours but that is to be expected. The driver software seemed decently designed, wasn't a resource hog and had a built-in equalizer (it should be noted that you can eliminate the distortion while using 5.1 or 7.1 by turning the bass levels down in the EQ, but listening without bass is not an option when spending so much on headphones). Too Long, Didn't Read version: All in all they are a decent set in all areas EXCEPT the one that is the most vital; sound quality. It just is not up to snuff. After giving these the benefit of the doubt for a few days I returned them to the store and got a pair of Logitech G930's instead and they are FAR superior sound-wise. They are a bit more expensive, but you definitely get what you pay for. So save yourself a lot of time and trouble and just get yourself some Logitech G930's or G35 (wired version of G930) or really any other set of headphones.

Bought the first pair for a gift and tried them out for myself due to some of the bad reviews I had read. Ended up getting this second pair for myself and was worried about cross feed with multiple sets. Had no problems whatsoever and it is a must to download their program to get the fullest potential out of them.

I bought these to replace the Logitech G930s. Much better positional audio. No interference from Wi-Fi. Not quite as comfortable, but good enough. Work ok with glasses. Great sound. Good bass and treble response. Very good positional audio. For the money, they're great.

So i was psyched about trying this out and when i got home they worked great for the first several days. I play a variety of MMO's and FPS'es and the sound was pretty good (not the best but better than quite a few ive owned) the problem that I ran into was that one day i turned it on and had problems getting sound to be played and when i went to turn off the headset it wouldnt respond and stayed on without playing sound... So that was kinda a deal breaker for me. I do not like things failing on me especially when i need it, so i will unfortunately have to go back and find another headset.

I bought these about a year ago and i would not purchase them again. The sound quality was really great and the battery life was OK, but after about 6 months they started to burn through my chargers. The use the same charger as my android phone, so i have several of that type of charger. When ever i plug them in they charge a time or to, but then the charger is unusable and i cant charge anything else with my phone. This happens whether or not i charge them from my USB port or from the wall outlet. they have ruined about 5 charging cables.

COULD have been the perfect headset

I wanted to try this headset out because my friend had a pair and they sounded great. He even had mic monitoring on his when i tried them out. They worked perfectly, even during a crazy game of battlefield i found that i wasnt screaming into the mic because of the mic loopback I went out and bought a pair, brought them home , got them all set up and was super excited to start gaming. I download the drivers and got everything installed, opened up the drivers and the first thing i noticed is that they looked totally different than the drivers that my friend had and they were missing the option to enable/disable mic loopback. Needless to say i was pretty angry so i looked up the issue on the forums. APPARENTLY corsair's software developers disabled the option in the new drivers, which my friend didnt have. Why would they do this? There were no issues with having the option there in the first place so why take it out?? I tried the headset out for a couple of days and figured maybe i could deal with not being able to hear myself on the basis that the rest of the headset was amazing. I couldnt deal with it, i eventually broke down and took them back because i was constantly screaming into the microphone so i could talk normally over loud games. I ended up going with the logitech g35's, this is my second pair and ive tried switching over to other headsets but seem to keep going back because they are the best headset under $100, hands down.

    Has zero longevity

I got this headset to offset the household noise while gaming and chatting with friends. The first headset was great. For about 15 days. 1 day past the return policy. Then audio cuts in and out. The blue light on the dongle stays solid indicating that the power wasn't being cut to the usb port. Also swapped it with my mouse port which never drops and audio still drops out frequently. I exchange the product for a replacement. The dongle on the replacement is coming apart out of the box. Audio drops from day 2 and on. I have a very nice gaming computer I built myself, have had no usb power issues with any other device, and the solid blue light on the provided dongle never broke connection. The headset was fully charged, I even tried plugging in the power cord to see if that would help and it did not. It is not worth the time it takes to continually return the item in hopes for one that will work for over 2 weeks.

These look and feel great, but lack the range and features of similar Logitech headsets. Also has a tendency to freeze up if you plug them in while using them. Only fix is to let them decharge and try again.

I had to RMA my old G430's and decided to go with a H2100 corsair gaming. the first set I got were DOA the left speaker wouldn't work. the second set worked but would have random cutouts. The 50mm drivers definetly pack a punch, but I record my voice for videos and the software that came with it was pure garbage. I could not get the mic boost high enough to record without a 3rd party software. I returned these and went with Astro A40's.
