MIC NOT WORKING AFTER 17 DAYS
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I buy this hearphones like 20 days ago, after 17/18 days the mic stop working, i come to grapevine best buy to change them for another one better and they didn't want to do it. IF THEY HAD BEEN BROKEN BEFORE 15 DAYS I WOULD HAVE LEFT, BUT SINCE THEY DID NOT ACKNOWLEDGE ME FOR HAVING SOLD ME A DEFECTIVE PRODUCT THAT DID NOT LAST EVEN 1 MONTH, I MADE THE DECISION TO THROW THEM IN THE TRASH IN FRONT OF THEM, I WILL NOT BUY AGAIN FROM THIS BEST BUY NOR ANY CORSAIR PRODUCT SINCE MY EXPERIENCE WAS WORSE THAN TERRIBLE, 80 DOLLARS WAS THROWN IN THE TRASH

Great Bang for your Buck
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Corsair HS55 Wireless Gaming Headphones(white) are an excellent choice for a wireless gaming headset. First, I would like to start by saying these are extremely light. When I first removed them from the packaging I immediately noticed how light weight they are. The sound profile out of the box is pretty good, but with the iCUE software you are given access the an equalizer which will allow you to dial in the sound for your preference. You can also select the EQ presets and right from the headset itself. Also, they have Dolby Atmos for headphones which works very well while in game. it works really well with racing and FPS games. The mic works well enough for in games chatting, and also phone calls. I didn't have any issues with people not being able to hear me. On top of all this, the HS55's are very comfortable to wear. I wore them for a couple hours at a time and never had any fatigue or pain. I wear glasses while gaming, and headsets can sometimes cause pressure/pain, but that's not the case here. Battery life is pretty impressive. I'm current on day 4 of browsing YouTube and gaming for a few hours at a time and they still have a "medium" charge, which is about 50%. Another really cool feature about this gaming headset is that you can pair them via Bluetooth with your phone and still use them while gaming via the USB dongle. This allows you to easily accept calls while gaming without having to remove the headset. I discovered this by accident while gaming and my wife called me. Overall I'm very impressed for what you get in this price range for wireless gaming headsets, and would definitely recommend them to anyone considering a wireless gaming headset. Likes: 1.) Very comfortable and lightweight 2.) Ability to customize sound via iCUE app 3.) Good battery life Dislikes: N/A

Nice headset with some minor quirks.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned a few headsets before, predominantly to use while creating voice-over presentations or while participating in online meetings, but found them to be uncomfortable over a lengthy period of time or lacking in microphone or speaker quality. On the contrary to my prior experiences with other brands, this Corsair headset is very comfortable and I particularly like the way the ear cup encompasses the entire ear (which helps block out external noise). The microphone quality is good and the speakers are great. Another nice feature is that the ear cups rotate in and the microphone flips up, making them easy enough to slip into a travel bag or backpack. Now, with all that being said, there were a few things that seemed a little odd to me given other experiences I have had with some other headphone/microphone combo devices. First, the headphones are packaged with a USB-A to USB-C cable. While I can appreciate the need to accommodate legacy computers, the computer (laptop) on which I was planning to use these headphones only has USB-C ports. That means I need an adapter as one did not ship with the unit. When I did plug the headphones into another computer, the computer (Windows 11) did recognize the headphones, but there was no way to use them as the settings did not show them as an audio device. I installed the iCUE software as well, and it did not see the headphones either. The short story there is that they must be used in wireless mode, even if physically plugged in to the computer. This is where it gets even more confusing to me. There was a USB-A wireless receiver included in the box. (Not USB-C, but USB-A.) As soon as I plugged in the receiver, the headphones (and microphone) showed up in my Windows settings (after a few moments given an automatic driver installation). At that point, I was then able to use the headphones and microphone, and the device also showed up in Corsair's iCUE software. There was a firmware update available, but in order to install it, I had to physically plug the headphones into the computer (which was weird considering the headphones did not work through the same cable). Another thing that was confusing was that it is possible to sync the headphones to your computer by both the wireless receiver (that ships with the headphones) and bluetooth as well. This then creates two separate audio devices in your computer settings, which created some additional confusion for me as one of the devices (via bluetooth) would not allow me to control the volume of the speakers through the dial on the unit. I did not have that same problem, however, when using the wireless connection through the receiver. If I was using a desktop computer, this would probably not be much of a big deal. When using it with a laptop, however, the utility of some of the headphone's features is diminished because, to fully use all the features of the headphones (the volume dial in particular), I need to plug in this 1.5" (approx) USB-A wireless receiver that then hangs out the side of the laptop. (If I wanted to use with a newer laptop that only has USB-C ports, the protrusion would be even longer given the need for a USB-C to USB-A adapter. The short story is that I am used to the simplicity associated with using iPods with my Apple devices (including my computers) where they connect easily and have all necessary functionality without having to plug any wireless receivers into my computer. I understand that Windows-based PCs function differently, but the setup and use simply is not as seamless as I am used to and would like. With that being said, though, this headset is significantly less expensive than those Apple devices (especially the over-the-ear AirPod Max), so some concessions are not only reasonable but necessary. For the money, this is a pretty solid headset that I will continue to use for work meetings and other related activities. While I realize these are marketed for gaming, they definitely fit the bill for my work needs. Given their comfort and quality of speakers, however, I can clearly see how these would work very well for gaming as well and will probably be giving that a try soon. Four stars seems a little low given the quality and value for the money, but I also would not feel comfortable giving a five star rating with the issues I noted. Maybe, realistically, 4.25 or 4.5 stars would be reasonable to me. If you are looking for a relatively reasonably-priced headset that is comfortable to wear with good sound and a good microphone, this unit is a pretty good option!

Comfortable and light gaming headset!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first thing I noticed when opening this headset is how light it is compared to others I have yet it still looks and feels premium. This headset offers versatility in terms of being able to connect with the included RF receiver to use on a PC or Playstation and it even has Bluetooth builtin so you can connect it to devices that support Bluetooth. I tried it with my phone and the experience for mobile gaming is good and you can still answer calls with it too. The audio definitely sounds best on the computer when you set it up with iCUE which gives you even more capability in terms of enabling/disabling EQ's and Dolby Surround sound mode. For sound quality, the drivers these are great with balanced lows, mids and highs right out of the box with no tweaks to the EQ's. It's loud but not too loud with clean/clear audio and the wireless allows you to walk around with them. I was able to walk all around my house and upstairs without them cutting out. For me what I like most is how comfortable they are where they are light and the materials they are made of just make them comfortable to wear for extended periods. Battery life is excellent, and though they don't have RGB I think that it's fair to sacrifice that to get more battery life though I wish the mic had a red indicator on it to show when the mic is muted. Overall, they're simple, and yet really nice and I'd recommend them!

Microphone doesn’t work
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Microphone randomly decides to stop working. In discord calls microphone will randomly decide to start transmitting garbled noise instead of my voice. Customer support is no help either. Save your money and buy a product that will actually work.

Great when it all works right
|Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Comfortable and sounds great when it works. Has a lot of issues in the software where the mic will just stop working and only way to fix is to reinstall the iCue software. Corsair really needs to work on it.

Ok, until they fall apart

Supreme Sound Quality &
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This headset has supreme sound quality offering Dolby 7.1 surround sound. The headset is wireless and can also be connected via Bluetooth. The battery life is exceptional with up to 24 hours of life. I really like that the headset can adapt to PC/Mac/PS4/PS5 - making it usable for multiple members of my family who enjoy different console systems. The headset is reasonably lightweight and super comfortable. The microphone is Omni-directional which allows it to pick up all commands and interactions. It’s also rotates upwards for easy storage to prevent damage. The headset is white in color with gray accents making it very fashionable-which is important to young folks. The comfort head band has a plush cushion which prevents rubbing on the top of your head. The headset comes with a USB white charging cord. This is my first time with the brand Corsair but have been impressed so far. They do have a limited warranty that comes with the purchase. Controls are easily accessible on sides of the ear covers allowing for volume changes and connectivity. I give it 2 thumbs up!

Lasted 2-week before crackling in ears loudly.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.$80 headset, crapped out within a month of use. Was a gift to a friend who is very gentle with his tech stuff, says it crackled in his ear THE DAY it became non-refundable. Best Buy only offers a 2-week return/exchange policy, these are NOT worth buying! Find something better.
